Well Worth It!

I was at REI and I bought one of these on a whim. My feet had been causing me some pain lately and I heard using something like this could help. I tried it when I got home and wow - I wish I had bought something like this sooner! By slowly rolling your foot on it, you can locate sore spots and then just hold in that position to release the tension. The ball is quite firm, so you can always adjust how hard you're pushing on it to go deeper or ease back. I haven't tried it on other areas of the body yet, but I imagine it would be just as effective. If you're sore, I highly recommend trying this out!

My New BFF

The Orb: After dinner and some stretching in the dark, it was tent time. I typically look at the map to review the next day's route and if the network allows, I communicate with Renate. No bars, no talk, no text, so I whip out this bad boy and begin rolling out my muscles like you would a foam roller. Placed under my legs or body, I used this trigger point myofascial release tool with great effect. I begin working my quads, IT band, hamstring attachments, calves, stabilzers rhomboids and occipital lobes. Oh, the occipital lobes, I just cannot contain myself. I am sure that the audible expressions of pleasure and the sound of the sleep pad crinkling under my body weight and motion, scared away hare and bear alike. I would feel embarrassed but it all felt oh, sooooo goood. The next day's 9+ miles credit belongs to my new BFF, the Orb.

Can we talk about how fantastic this little thing is? I have a love-hate relationship with my foam roller and this beautiful little thing definitely has causes an enjoyable pain. My neck and lower back have never felt better. Talk about getting into those small places your big foam roller does not.

So good. Just a bit larger than a lacrosse ball

So good. A lacrosse ball is a little small in diameter for certain spots like glutes and this can hit them. Also lightweight for travel! Worthy addition to the self therapy collection.

A great product

The massage ball is a real find. Though small, it aids circulation in feet and legs, and is light enough to take on hikes. I also use it when I’m sitting at my desk or watching TV. I have a roller pin that is too heavy to take on El Camino de Santiago; this is perfect.

lower back massage

I bought the larger Pro-Tec ball some time ago. It's great for hamstrings especially. This smaller ball is feather light for travel and the right size for lower back massage, lying on your side. It has the perfect blend of firmness and give, pressing on the muscles without bruising. With practice it's also good for neck release. I use it daily at home and won't travel without it.

Get The Kink Out

Lost and sorely missed my original so had to have a new one! Really works for loosening up any knots. For the back place between you and the wall - hold for the recommended 10 seconds and then slowly work a small area.

Makes Stretching and Self-Massage a Breeze

Bought this item after doing some foam rolling at my gym and wanting something I could keep at the house or take with me to work. Despite its small size, this ball does wonders with massaging your feet and can be used for working out tense muscles.

Buy this!

Great tool to help loosen muscles. I had a tight knot in my hamstring and other products weren’t effective in the least. I bought this and after just one use, I felt SO MUCH better. Great size that easily fits in my suitcase so I can bring it with me when I travel.
