a gentle breeze blows right thru it
I absolutely love the color, [I purchased the Navy] and look of this item. The stitching is super high quality, and there is their super durable fabric on the elbows. The hood is form fitted and not baggy, designed for maximum warmth no doubt. Every aspect of this item feels high quality and built to last. It's just not that warm. I tried this jacket out in mid to late fall in Colorado, with just a t shirt beneath as most would. 40s-50s Fahrenheit. The slightest breeze just blows right through every part of this thing. A shell is most certainly required. I can't really see a use for this item for any serious hiker. The looks are killer though, so sharp!! Love the leather accents. Great for a day or night out in spring and fall I suppose. Really wanted to like this thing, but I couldn't justify the cost.

Great look and feel but has durability issues.
This hoodie looks great. The fit is accurate and looks nice. It is not extremely warm but makes a good fall/spring hoodie. Like others mentioned though, the zipper is annoying. Not a deal breaker though. What is concerning is how much the hoodie pills. It has excessive pilling after three weeks or regular, occasional wear. It has not been washed yet. I only wore this around the city running erronds, and did not even wear it on a hike. If you are looking for something to casually wear around I think this would work. If you have the money to just wear it, not wash it, and get rid of it I think this would work also. If you are actually going to use this outdoors I would say maybe buy a better quality product. I am going to keep mine, but I did have to buy a fabric shaver for the first time in my life.

Great sweatshirt but weird zipper

I really like this sweatshirt compared to every other one I have worn... except the zipper. It's a two slide zipper and the bottom one constantly rides up on its own and splits the bottom of the sweatshirt. Really annoying and I'm afraid likely a matter of time until the zipper breaks completely. Which is too bad, because otherwise it's the best sweatshirt I've owned.

Back for another

I've always loved the quality of fjalraven clothing. It's expensive but it stays looking good for longer than most. Not that looking good is the main thing I go for it's an added bonus. Very hard wearing & durable, this hoodie is exactly the same but it's detailing sets it apart from the rest. Its a really warm & cosy hoodie that's very comfortable to wear. I bought my 1st ovik hoodie 3 years ago & I've wore it a lot living on the N/E coast of England we get the very brisk North Sea breeze or gale. This hoodie is perfect for walks along some of our fantastic beaches that not many know about except the locals. Highly recommended.

Favorite new hoody around the house/town

Love this comfy hoody to death. Stylish, well made, cool details. The G-1000 arm patches look cool, provide a bit of sturdiness on the arm where you may rest them on a desk, say. This is definitely nice looking enough for an office setting, get many compliments when out and about town as well. The hood is functional when you're out and need a quick break for your ears/chin. This is definitely a piece more for fashion than function as it does not do much to block wind, and using as a layering piece would probably be accomplished better by more function specific options. That said, just a great piece of clothing and love the style. I'm 5'9" 155lb and medium fits well, enough room to wear over a thicker sweater, not bulky at all.

Great jacket

I really like this jacket. It is warm to wear around the house but not too hot. High quality and looks great. My only complaint is the zipper. I didn’t realize it was one of those zippers with two zips, one that stays at the bottom and the other that zips up. The one at the bottom comes apart too easily. Kind of irritating if you are moving around.

Great fleece, can handle rough treatment

I got one of these for my husband as a gift. It was a little spendy, but Fjallraven is generally good quality. My husband just throws it in the washer and dryer and it has held up really well. He doesn't do anything extra to treat the leather details and they look fine after a couple years. The bottom zip is a little tough to get lined up correctly, but I think this might be a Fjallraven thing since I also have a different hoodie that has a similar issue.

Ovik Fleece hoodie fit

great hoodie, nice quality, I'm 5'8" 210lbs I ordered the XL and fits good, if you order the LG it will be too tight as the size runs small so i would suggest go up a size. Also when I buy something that fights just right when I wash it I hang dry it don't throw it in the dryer or it may not fit well after.

Sharp but chilly

This is the sharpest looking hoody I own from the material itself to the fantastic leather accents. It's definitely toasty in many conditions and I frequently take it off indoors if the heat is pumping. Where it falls short however is when it's pretty windy outdoors. Your core is ok but the wind tears right through the sleeves. You definitely need to plan your layering out appropriately for this one.
