BOTE  Tackle Rac Paddleboard Attachment

This is a must have for bote boards. Great for carrying gear. Rod holders are also great for umbrellas and flag poles

I'm a big DYIer and thought I could make my own, bend some tubing and weld it up, but not for the Bote price. The tackle Rac provides a great fixture to lean against, and tie-off items. I would like to see Bote make a fishing tackle organizer that would integrate with the Rac similar to some crude models online. It is built of really heavy duty Aluminum and will probably last a lifetime, but I wonder if it would be lighter with thin wall stainless tubing instead. I've lived in salt water environment and don't really trust aluminum long term as it will corrode to powder given a scratch or two especially with a topcoat, but I believe this is one fine quality piece in how it is constructed and finished.

The Bote tackle rac is well engineered and does fit nicely into the rac receivers attached to my Bote board. At that point, I wondered why their was no included locking device to hold the tackle rac in place in case the board flips? Could it be that the receivers are angled to hold the tackle rac in place in the event of a flip? My plan would be to test this (with a safety cord attached). Although the finish on the Tackle Rac is visually pleasing (I have the white one) the paint coat(s) seemed fairly thin and the soft aluminum scratches rather easily and so will require touch up on occasion. Otherwise it is a very strong, light, 1-piece design that should compliment my Aero HD for a long time. Lastly, it seems a bit over priced but extremely functional.

Tackle rack is very cool and allowed me to fish for the first time today on Lake Mead. Only suggestion I would make is it would be rad if the pole holders swiveled so you could set them out a bit more when trolling and or for better access when reaching for your rod. That said I plan on using it regularly and hooking into some Striper and large mount bass. Thanks BOTE, I dig the lifestyle.

I'm an avid flyfisherman, and love the freedom my BOTE board gives me with this tackle rack. It is universal and can be used in a ton of ways. Securely holds fly rods and spinning rods, with tons of other attachments being utilized on its interior ribbon. I can spend all day fishing and cruising any body of water. Inshore, in the bay, back marshes, rivers and lakes… Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I have yet to use the Tackle Rac on the water I have mounted it to our Low Rider in our living room (haha). Mounting an action camera and an additional rod holder is a snap. I may even create an application for mounting a stripping basket while fly fishing. Looking forward to my on the water experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I was skeptical about using an inflatable but I was totally wrong. It’s been amazing. We took mom, dad and 3 year old out into the lake for hours and with a few modifications dad was fishing every corner of the place. It’s already been a memory maker!

The Tackle Rac is a must have addition for my BOTE board. It makes my sup excursions even more enjoyable as it provides something to lean on while paddling and a great place to grab on to when moving the board around. All of my BOTE boards will end up with one of these!

Haven't got to try it out yet as it's cold and the middle of winter here. Looks like it's another quality BOTE product. Shipping was quick and it made it by Christmas. Can't wait til warm weather is here and we can hit the lake!
