Great beach chair
Right now loving it. Lightweight, easy to put on back with backpack straps. Mesh in back great when weather hot and dries faster when wet from swimming. Pocket in back handy for books, magazines. Love the adjustability on the recline and the included pillow is what made me choose over other styles, I'm 5'4" and everything about the chair fits me just right! The cup holder is an added perk.

poor quality
One of the worst items I have bought from REI. Craftsmanship is terrible. Locking mechanism is plastic on plastic that broke within one hour of usage. Very disappointed that REI would carry such a poorly made product.

Nice, well built beach chair

Lots of storage and quite comfortable. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the attachment point for the backpack style straps...they are much too wide, allowing the either strap to migrate off of your shoulder as you walk. Not a bif deal, of course, just could be a little better.

As advertised!

People, it's a beach chair, albeit a beach chair with a couple of cool extra features. I don't expect it to be rugged or put up with abuse and my bet is it'll rust in places and last me about 4 years if we treat it well. Reasonably priced. Aluminum and plastic make it lightweight and really like the backpack straps and storage compartment on the backside of the chair. My only suggestion is to add an additional cup/phone holder to the other armrest, otherwise terrific!

Beach Chair upgrade

This is a comfortable folding chair, with 2 added features. Neck roll and backpack straps. Final test will be on the sand.

Comfortable

It was hard to figure out the mechanisms to recline and afraid to break it. I like it now that I (successfully!) did. Very comfortable.
