Great way to deal with wide temperature swings
I bought these for cool mornings. Where I ride, it can start the day in the high 30's to low 50's. but then as the sun gets higher it can get up to 70-80. i considered long thermal pants, but they would not cut it for me once the temp hits the 60's, i'd over heat. this is perfect. I can handle cold and cool mornings. I like the zipper. I don't need it for putting on without my shoes, but with shoes on, the zipper makes it possible to take them off on a quick stop, then i stuff them in a back pocket. I bought the arm warmers too. I did have my wife measure my thighs, calfs, ankles, and same for the arms, bicep/tricep, and wrist. These are unisex, so you need to measure. You likely will be chilled for the first few minutes of riding on cold mornings, but you'll be happy once you reach equilibrium. and happier later when it gets warm enough to peel them off. I was a little surprised by the sizing, my legs are big for a guys legs, i weight lift and ride, that said, 0 fat on my legs, so i took the L. I would have guessed the XL, definitely a good thing I was measured.

Winter cycling
I have tried wearing these a couple of times and they kept my legs warm with easy movement. My complaint is they use a rubber latex type of banding to keep the leg warmers from falling down. I guess I'm allergic to the banding because my skin swells up with red rash when I use them on my bare skin. Same with the arm warmers.

Worth the money and long lasting!

I have had my leg warmers for 2 winters now. They are fantastic! I wear them under my leggings every night at work during the cold months. I haul cars, so i do a lot of walking and getting in and out of cars and climbing. The warmers never fall or loosen. I'm very impressed with the band that runs along the inside to help keep them in place on my thigh. I am a woman 5'4" 135lbs and i bought size L If your not sure about spending that much money on warmers, trust me they're worth every penny and mine are still in great condition after 2 winters of wear

If you want to keep your legs warm-read on

These warmers fit great and is the lightweight answer when starting out in the cool morning and as it warms up you can take them off or add to your shorts. Great for traveling too. Like having a pair of pants and shorts all in one.

Allergic

I am not allergic to anything so when I saw someone got an allergic reaction I did not think anything of it. While trying it at home for sizing, the next day I was all red and blistery around the elastic area. It is not rubber or latex because I am not allergic to these, they must be using some chemicals that damage the skin. Otherwise they fit great.

Perfect to cut the chill....

These have been great to cut the chill on those colder riding days....they seem to be very well made, heavier material with quality zippers and the non slip around the thighs does the trick even when tackling speedy downhill rides and grueling long climbs....

A good addition to a biking wardrobe

The leg warmers are good for long day rides when it starts off cool and warms up. I wore them the other day when it was around 60 but a cool breeze and never took them off. As long as you pull them up good they stay in place.

Needs longer zipper for MTB shoes!

I would give these five stars if I could get them on and off easily... They function great everywhere else except in the length of the zipper. I want to be able to remove these after I get warmed up or if the day warms up when I'm on a long ride. The zips are too short and I can't get them over my MTB shoes! I have to do a balancing act and remove my shoes to get these off or on. Makes these almost useless to me.

Run small

I tried to replace my previous PI leg warmers (size L), but the sizes have changed. The current size L are much tighter, 1 inch shorter and with a shorter zipper, making it very hard to put them on without ripping them. I also tried size XL, which have the same length as the old L, but are just a bit too wide at the thighs for me and keep sliding down.
