Lorelei in a candy wrapper
I was in the checkout line and it lured me over to pick up a couple of bars. It was in the afternoon and I was hungry, but now I’m addicted and will buy it when I’m in the store. My only hope is online buying so I don’t see it. Oh yes, it’s remarkably tasty.
Better than expected!
Better than expected. Normally dark chocolate can be a bit too bitter for me, but this hit it just about right. The toffee helps, but it’s not a crazy amount of toffee. I’ll be buying other types of bars/confections from this company in the future.

Old and gross.
I grabbed this at the checkout on my way out of town for a trip. I like Theo products. Hours down the road when I opened it, this one was obviously old and had been in widely varying temperatures. Tasted like waxy cardboard. Discolored like bad drug store chocolate. I get that REI probably doesn’t move a lot of chocolate through its stores, but I was pretty disappointed. Not worth the drive to return it. Waste of money.
The Best Chocolate
Very nice chocolate. Looked for Theo chocolate all year but could not find it. I hope it is not only a seasonal product for REI. I purchased this 85% bar with the 55% bar and eat them together because I think 70% in an ideal percentage.
Good chocolate bar.
I ate the sea salt one and it was very nice. Usually i go 80-85% on sea salt because there's usually a floral or perfume taste to it if it's too light but this one was nicely balanced for a 70%.
Meh
I'm over Theo. The chocolate is waxy, the flavor thin. Plus, we now learn that many of the darker chocolates, Theo included, have high lead content.
