i bought a men's small. i'm 5'6" & 145lbs. i was out of town for the holidays when a cold snap hit. i was browsing for something else and came across this gem. it is so soft and warm. the fit is great and true to size. i was more concerned about the size since i'm losing weight and in-between a small and medium at the moment. not to mention it's very stylish. i've had many compliments on it since i bought it. i've always heard great things about this brand, but was too scared to invest in the price. i'd have to say it's totally worth it. you are buying quality. i've had it and worn it as a mid-layer in 15*F. i was very impressed on how it kept me warm and i didn't sweat to death in it. i'd buy another if i had the extra cash. thank you for the present to myself. i will take care of it and cherish it for years to come.
Best Sweater I Ever Purchased
By far, this the best sweater I have ever owned. I am 6'4", 220#, 40" waist and 37" sleeve length. Size XXL fits me perfectly. I have two other Patagonia sweaters and several from other brands, but this particular sweater is the most comfortable. I liked the black so much that I went back and purchased the oatmeal, blue and green colors as well. The three button high collar is a plus. For me, this sweater has zero itch. The recycled fabric is a combination that offers no itch comfort. It is a beefy sweater, however, not bulky by no means. Because of the recycled fabric, it has these beautiful small flecks of other color fabric woven right in for a more interesting look. This sweater is warm right next to your skin, however to ward off any wind, I wear a long undershirt during those windy, cooler days. Patagonia manufactures products that are environmentally friendly in every way. They adhere to repair, recycle and reuse whenever possible. It makes me feel even better purchasing a product that is environmentally friendly.
good sweater for hanging out
Warm, comfortable, not too heavy. Just right for cold nights during Thailand's winter (yes, it does get cold mid-December--end of January). A little on the baggy side, particularly the sleeves, probably not as noticeable if wearing a shirt underneath.
