Perfect for random Icelandic Weather
With the unpredictable weather in Iceland, this jacket was a godsend. It protected perfectly from the wind and rain. On the warmer days I could switch between the inner shell or outer shell depending on rain or wind. I’m a typical penny pincher and tested out some other jackets because I don’t normally get myself name brands, but this one fit me and felt so comfortable I felt like I couldn’t say no, and I’m so glad! Honestly, this was the best piece of gear I brought!

Not warm, inflated price
Even with a thick running shirt on, these two layers left me shivering in 30 degree weather. Otherwise, the design is great. My main beef is with REI for inflating the price. This coat was $278 a couple of weeks ago and I got it on sale for $208. So why are you now quoting it at $400 and charging $278 on sale? Very shady.

Glad I made the purchase!

LOVE this jacket setup! Kept me warm when I was in southern Utah after Christmas. Was perfect for the snow we experienced when hiking Delicate Arch, and the material was perfect for hiking the slot canyons (didn't puncture, tear or scratch - even in very narrow canyons). I used the inside jacket for my final layer when hiking the Narrows in a dry suit (also had 3 layers below it). I was wanting a waterproof jacket for a while - so glad I purchased this when I did because it's already be a great addition to my outdoor gear!

Versatile Jacket!

This is my favorite all-in-one winter jacket! The blue-green color of the outer shell is beautiful and the flower print of the inside jacket gives it a nice touch. For sizing, I’m 5’4” and 115 lbs, and extra small fits well. It’s roomy enough to fit another sweater inside, but doesn’t look baggy. The sleeves are a bit long but that’s okay since the sleeve cuff Velcro keeps it above my hands. With a total of 10 pockets among the two layers, I have plenty of room to hold my stuff while I’m out and about. Many of the pockets are zippered, so that adds extra security. I also like that the inner jacket is removable and reversible. The outer jacket’s hood is removable as well. Overall, this is a super versatile, comfortable, and warm jacket!

Great for Everyday use

I might like this jacket TOO much. The craft pink color is gorgeous. All the pocket linings are super soft, and the lining is also around the neck area protecting from the zipper. I am mindful now of my lip balm because I don't want to get it on the soft material. The jacket blocks out the wind (even from around my neck) and gives me the feeling I'm wearing a weighted but unimposing blanket. It's also a little longer, which I think makes for a more flattering shape, but getting into the car is slightly awkward because you have to bend and the water resistant material isn't as flexible as cotton. All in all I would highly recommend.

My first Patagonia purchase!

I'm 5'11" and struggle finding coats long enough in the arms. I got the XL and I couldn't believe how long it was!!! I love how the inside piece is reversible as well...it's like you are getting 3 jackets in one. I've been skiing for hours at a time in temperatures in the teens and stayed really warm, with no issues. I've recently pulled the inner layer out and have just been wearing that as the temps warm just a bit, to the 30's. I really like this jacket and am so glad I decided on this one. It's great on the slopes and to handle the frigid winters.

Nice coat but not very warm

I’ve been wearing this coat for 2 seasons. I want to love it because it has some good features. The fact that it’s not very warm is just ruining it for me. It does have good water proofing. I also loved the versatility. But, I have barely used the inside layer as it’s warmth is so limited. I replaced with another down zip up that makes it a bit better. The zippers are great but very small and so difficult to access while skiing - the reason I bought the jacket. As my first Patagonia purchase, it’s been hugely disappointing. Not sure why so many people are wearing this brand.

Cute, warm, sleeves are a bit long

True to size. I'm 5'4" 120 lbs and the small fit well. My arm span is a bit longer than my height and the sleeves are still an inch or two too long, which is only slightly annoying. Very warm down to about 20º. Any colder and a little layering underneath should do the trick just fine. The pit zips are ok. I wish they were chest pit zips, as it's kind of awkward to unzip and zip the pit zips while the jacket is on. I got the regen (teal) color with the floral inner layer jacket. Super cute! I received lots of compliments on the teal color and love that I can wear either layer separately or together.

Thoughtful design and superb quality

I've been in the market for a 3-in-1 jacket in the last three years. Have tried out four other brands/models and found this is the best of all. The outer shell jacket is made out light weight water proof materials and has armpit vents. The liner jacket is warm but very thin. Best of all, the liner jacket is also reversible. There are numerous pocket options on both the outer and liner jacket. The magenta-green pairing works out surprisingly beautiful. I'm 5"3 and weigh under 120 lb. The small size jacket feels a bit too big for me.

Sizing is absolutely ridiculous

I’m 5’1 / 110 lbs and normally wear an XS in Patagonia clothing. This jacket was absurdly large. The arms are a good 5-6” too long and the length of the jacket is below the butt. My 6’1 partner tried it on, and—while the shoulders were tight for him—the length, width, and sleeve length were all perfect. So I guess if you’re 6’1 and lanky, get the XS. If you’re normally an XS, don’t buy this jacket.

I love this jacket! BEWARE

I loved this jacket! I did have to purchase a smaller size. My bust is a 40.5 which is supposed to be a large. Since I have a larger bust I decided to get a large instead of a medium even though a lot of my clothing is medium. I was wrong... the jacket was much too large and even though I LOVED it. I did return it for a medium. Hoping the medium will fit. If you are in between sizes for this jacket and actually measure yourself, I would size down.
