What makes this my go-to headlamp is the fact that it is so tiny, it makes it the easiest to slip into one's pocket when leaving the house. Out of the 7 or 8 headlamps we have at home this one is used the most because it is the one we happen to have with us when the need arises. It wouldn't be my choice for wearing for hours (due to the headband) nor my choice for night trail running (I have ones with better output) but for general use it is the best.
Although I love this for all the same reasons, small, lightweight, decent brightness. No one mentioned there is no angle adjustment. I almost always wear a ball cap in the outdoors and this light has no way to adjust the light down where you want it. I usually grab a twig and put it behind the top to make it point where I want it.
This is small, so small you need to remember exactly where you packed it. While the cord does not look dependable, it works just fine and I have not had any issues with it. Surprisingly comfortable. I may buy another in case they are going to discontinue this design.
I bought this with the soul purpose of keeping in my pack for a backup light and have used it several occasions now! Not the brightest light, but super lightweight and dependable.
It packs small and light but delivers an impressively bright light at 100 lumen. It has 2 brightness options (20 vs 100 lumen) and also has a green phosphorescent reflector around the bulb which would come in handy to find it in the middle of the night. The only reason I am giving 4 (vs. 5 stars) is that I wish it would have red light option.
I had just ordered this light and threw into my waist pack because it's so small. Good thing I did, because the next week our 5 hour day hike turned into 8 hours into the night when we lost the trail due to snow/ice covered trail we weren't expecting. I easily attached it to a branch that I was using as a hiking stick and it illuminated the trail nicely for the two of us. I love this little light that really showed the way and saved our butts that night!
