works great
use it with my petzl shunt when top rope soloing. rotates well to eliminate cross loading. also handy to keep fo anchors. supper beefy and easy to do up please don't get this to use as a bail biner. it makes is hard for the next person to clip the bolt. if your going to bail use a actual biner please. unless you plan on bailing a few times a day you won't loose much more money and who knows maybe that will push you to finish the route

The only full rated quick link
I purchase these Metolius quick links cause they're the only fully life-support rated quick links I've found (the petzl quick links are not individually proofed like these). If you're gonna be climbing at any sort of official comps / meets and have to go threw a gear check (and need to / want to use quick links) the petzl QL won't pass cause it's not individually proofed and they're only stamped with a WLL, these Metolius ones are good to go with standard rating stampings so they can be passed by safe check inspectors!

Very solid, well made, but heavy

For a sport route or making a fixed anchor, this is great. But as an emergency 'bail biner' for trad or alpine climbing it is too heavy at 144 grams. A better choice for trad or alpine is the lighter Petzl Oval Screw Link at 60 grams.

Great for anchor building

I bought about 4 of these and have used them to build anchors for top-rope climbing. Pro: they are strong and do fasten tightly. The are easy to build anchors with using webbing and chains. While building anchors, I'm sure that they won't screw and loosen with the movement of the rope. Con: They are kind of heavy, so they may not be the best for carrying up to the top of a lead climb and building an anchor. They are also sometimes difficult to unscrew because they do tighten.

Used for Rope Soloing

I use this to attach my GriGRi+ to my harness for LRS. Throw 3 Petzle Tangas on the long axis and it wont ever rotate or cross load. Lighter than other steel locking biner options.

great for “bail beaners”

Great to have a few on you so you can set up anchors or if needing to bail early off a sport route etc.. it’s just good hardware to have that’s cheap and reliable.

Heavy and strong

I used them for single rope biner block until they got stolen. Although backed up, my largest carbiner made me uncomfortable, with this larger quick link. Why did Metolius stop making the smaller size. I bought the Petzyl oval link solves that probably. Rated and certified, fine Quicklink economically priced, albeit a bit heavy. Depends on what you use it for.

it’s ok

I use for attaching rappel rings. Works fine and is cheap. It’s heavy and take forever to (un)screw.

Great product

I use this for belay anchors and rigging up slacklines. Works great. It's bomber and screws/unscrews way easier than some of my other quick links and tri links.
