Great for small heads!
I honestly tried these on as a joke thinking they would look funny and be huge on me - You know because you do that when you’re looking for glasses :) Turns out, I loved them so much I bought them even though I purchased the Little Bell a few days prior and didn’t “need” them haha! I have a small head most sunglass shapes and sizes do not look good on my face. I can NOT wear Aviators or sporty frames. These are perfect for smaller frame faces if you’re looking for something more “fashion forward.” Took one star off quality because the side of the arm chipped and I had to fill it in with nail polish. But lenses are perfect!

LOVE this pair! So much that I bought the blue ones too! Been a consumer for 20 years! Have several pairs including hookipa since 2005! Just got the lens replaced on those! Can’t go wrong with Maui Jim’s! Customer service is fantastic and they fixed my Ocean pair for free when a dog chewed off one side! Got my glasses back just in time for my Hawaii vacation!
Great Sunglasses in a Shockingly Deficient Case.
A present for my wife; she loves these Maui Jim sunglasses. They are smartly designed and comfortable, a modern and elegant variation of the classic Maui Jim sunglasses. It is unfortunate and shocking that these expensive cases are enclosed in a piece of garbage cardboard case. We have hard cases from older Maui Jim sunglasses and will use one such case to protect these sunglasses. As a customer who has purchased many pairs of Maui Jim’s, Maui Jim should be embarrassed to present its wonderful products in a horrendous case. Maui Jim should look to Smith for guidance.
Rose Lenses great for grey days
For some reason, even though I click on the Tortoise with Raspberry, I get Tortoise with Peacock. Anyway I am reviewing the ROSE colored lenses I despise the blue light of overcast days, it gives me a headache. Grey or tan lenses do not help alleviate this. But ROSE do! It is so hard to find a good pair of rose lenses. There is a reason there is a saying about mood and rose colored glasses. I adore my new MJ in all lower sun conditions. As one reviewer pointed out they are not great for high light conditions. For that I have my other pair of MJ's. But I wear these all winter long and on all overcast days. It really helps the mood and keeps the headaches at bay.
Watch out for smaller bridged-noses...
I tried on sooooo many before I found the right ones for me. The Ocean frames are extremely light weight, which was the main deciding factor for me. I live in Hawai'i where the sun's always out and shining bright so I needed something to wear daily. The lens are enough to reduce glare but not dark enough to cause fatigue on the eyes. I love how the island colors are vibrantly enhanced!!! The only small issue I came across is that the bridge of my nose is not as prominent and occasionally, when I start to sweat, the glasses eventually slip down. I obviously wasn't sweating in the store when trying them on, so that is a possible factor to consider. Other than that, these are awesome!
Everything Looks Amazing
I've never worn a pair of sunglasses I love as much as these. Life through rose-tinted glasses really is a little better. The clarity and size of these lenses are incredible. The flexible arms really add to the comfort of the glasses as well.
Crisp!
This is my first pair of MJ and I am amazed how crisp the visibility is. They are comfortable and lightweight. Note these will not stay on top of your head and they sound very ‘creaky’ when opening to put on. It does not interfere with use, just an odd sound.
Love these sunglasses!
These sunglasses are the best! I’m really happy with them. They are the perfect size for my face. I chose the Raspberry frame and Bronze lens and the lenses are very nice. I love that they are polarized and they work really well to block the sunlight.
Bought my first Maui Jim sunglasses in 2012. Bought a new pair today! I was very disappointed in the case. My first case was a hard shell with a zipper. I still have it. The new case is flimsy So disappointed. Love my glasses though.
Perfect for Me
The Ocean's were my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and still one of my favorites. The shape compliments so many face shapes and the little embedded nose pads helps with them not sliding! I plan on trying out the Isola next!
