Great all around touring kayak

Very stable, empty or loaded. Also very comfortable, I have tried several different ones and at 6 foot, 200lbs, the Tempest was by far the best. Even though the polyethylene is heavier than other kayak materials, it is very tough and you don't have to worry about beaching on rocks like you would with other kayaks.

Great Touring Kayak

Got this Kayak last year as a newbie.... was aiming to take on the MR340 down the Missouri River. Got used to it pretty quick, the skeg is super helpful in wavy/windy conditions, and the seat is VERY comfortable and easily adjustable. I have low back issues and was worried about comfort but I've spend countless hours in the boat and have been comfortable. Lots of storage space, relatively light compared to other boats this size. I find it to be pretty stable and pretty fast on the river/flat water. Go for it!!
