Very poor build quality
Went flat on the first ride, only 25 miles of life. There is a giant hole in the center of the seams (see photo). Very poor build quality. Do yourself a favor, spend a couple more dollars and get something decent.
Half thread is a fail
Just bought 3 of these but will return to REI. Can’t use either of my floor pumps to pump up without one hand holding valve to tube. Glad I found this out in my garage and not on the road. Don’t overthink it. It’s just an inner tube.
smooth valve stem causes problems
The lauded smooth valve stem is a solution in search of a problem, and causes it's own problem: several of my pumps are unable to hold onto the smooth/smaller diameter valve body and slip off as I try and get it up to pressure. They were the only road tubes stocked at my local REI, so I bought them without realizing they were "new and improved"

changed my tube with one of these this morning and can confirm what other reviewers have said - the smooth-at-the-top valve stem prevents my frame pump from clamping on completely
Not up to REI quality standards!
Poor quality and design. The smooth stem makes it difficult to keep pump head on the valve. When the presta valve gets bent from repeated attempts to inflate the tire the valve cannot be replaced. Worse still, a seam joins the tube around the circumference and frequently fails within several hours of use. The seam failures are too large to patch. I have no luck using these on the road or indoor trainer.
Problem with pump fitting on
These tube stems have half threads which is supposed to be better for rubber seal pump clamps but will not allow Leyzene screw on pumps to work.
What is the purpose of a "half thread" valve stem?
These tubes would not work with my pump. The pump head would not grip the "half thread" valve stem. Pumping the tire became a two person job - one to hold the pump head on the valve stem and one to do the pumping. I returned two tubes for a full refund. I was pleasantly surprised that they took back the slightly used one as well as the one I hadn't used. Thank you for your excellent customer service.
Inner tube
Good product... have not not had to many issues with flats, but I am not sure if it’s the tube itself or my tires or a combo of both. I do ride in pretty glassy urban terrain.
It will save your life!
This tube saved me from walking 23-miles and having to carry a Cannondale 600 at the same time. The tube is miraculous in that it holds air indefinitely. It comes with a little red presta valve cap that is just gorgeous. Unfortunately, it only comes in black, but I hear that a few new colors may be added next year. I highly recommend these tubes to all my friends. And finally, if it ever fails, you can patch the tube for reuse r alternatively use it in a myriad of handicraft projects not the least of which is an A-1 sling shot.
Perfect match!
I recently purchased a pair of these to mount with some new Continental Gatorskin Hardshell tires. They fit perfectly and I had no problems using a floor pump on the 48mm Presta valves. Be sure to slightly inflate the tube a bit before rolling the second tire bead onto the wheel to avoid a pinch flat.
