My first good saddle!
I was hesitant to get this saddle as the stock saddle that came with my scott wasn't terrible but I still had soreness after riding. I'm so glad I got this saddle. It's perfect for my sit bones and isn't too wide. If you like narrower saddles I recommend this one. I just went to Yosemite with my boyfriend and we rode over 10 miles around the valley and I didn't feel sore at all afterwards. I still can't believe it. For what it's worth, I'm a big lady and it's holding up really well.
Cutout doesn’t cut it
I don’t know if Terry really took mountain biking position versus road biking position into account for this saddle’s cutout. It’s placed so far back that I did not receive any relief, and in fact it was quite painful. All soft tissue pressure was in front of the cutout for me. This saddle was pretty comfortable for my seat bones, and I like the topographic design, but unfortunately I’ll have to return it.
Love this saddle!!
I’ve been on about 10 rides with this saddle so far and I LOVE it. I was riding my stock Juliana saddle, which is a similar width and just a bit longer, but it’s so low profile it didn’t fit my…saddle :) you know how shoes that are too big will give you blisters? The Terry Topo is just an awesome fit. It stays put. It’s comfy while riding and for the first time on this bike, I have zero soreness afterward (I ride without a chamois). It’s also beautiful. Highly recommend.
Doesn't work for me but that's just me man
This is overall a decently comfortable saddle from Terry and I could see it handling well for another rider. However, I could feel the groves in the topo cut-out print after an hour in the saddle through thinner/lycra shorts. If you always wear regular shorts or liners under shorts you probably wouldn't run into this at all. The shape of the saddle had a little less curve to the seat than usually works for my shape and riding style and the nose was a little wider/flatter than I need and it rubbed against my thighs. Not a fit for me but I could see it working great for another rider!
A comfortable and well-designed bike seat.
This seat was well-researched and designed. The aches and pains associated with my previous bike seat are gone. The seat is firm enough to enhance forward movement efficiently, yet with a bit of cushion that makes it more comfortable for a longer ride, or if you hop onto your bike without your padded bike shorts.
Out with the old, in the with new
I love this saddle. It is very close to the proportions of my old Terry ATB saddle that I have ridden on since the late 90s. It was trashed (finally, after all these years), and the Topo is working out well. I am very pleased with it. My first ride was on some technical trails, and I was not disappointed.
Cool design, but a no go for my bottom
A nicely made product, but was not for me. As a wide hipped individual, with sensitive sit bones, this seat hurt time after time of trying. I have another model of a Terry seat on my triathlon bike that I've LOVED, so I was eager to try this one. Seats are very specific person to person though, so it could be good for the right person, but not me.
Favorite Saddle
I have this saddle in black, gray, and pink. I ride every day for long distances. I often ride competitively. I'm 5'5" and I weigh 112. For my frame, this is an excellent saddle. I live in Colorado and do gravel and single track. I try to stay off the road, but sometimes, it snags me.
A seat so nice I bought it thrice!
Best bike seat for climbing and longer rides! I have this seat on my gravel bike, commuter bike, and mountain bike.
Love this saddle!
I tried a couple of saddles before discovering this one. I knew it was perfect right away! Comfortable support for very long rides.
