I bought the 40m version of this rope when I moved to Austin TX for year. In Austin there is a bounty of powerful, proud, and short limestone sport routes, and it doesn't make any sense to lug around a 60m rope. This was my first BD (made by Roca, I believe?) rope. I've been a fanboy over Mammut ropes prior to this. This really is an excellent rope for the money. I used this for projecting hard (for me) climbs, heavy gym use, rope soloing with a micro-traxion, and even pulling people up a slabby TR early on in their climbing career. I hardly ever used a rope bag, and whipped countless times on this thing over the last year. I don't think it even has a nick in the sheath after all that. Definitely a great rope. I recently bought another BD rope because I had such a great experience with this one. The quality on my new rope also appears to be very high.

Spend more on a better rope

This rope is trash. Purchased it in June, and had to cut both ends off already. I’m a 140lb woman who doesn’t take much whippers, and I go indirect while projecting. Zero sense this rope died so quickly. Won’t even recommend for a gym rope.

THE beginner craging rope

This rope has Ben my main workhorse rope and it never disappoints. I was on a tight budget and this was by far the best option I could have chose. This rope isn’t the fanciest or lightest rope out there but it gets you on the wall at a really good price.

perfect kid leash

It was honestly overbuilt for what I bought it for...to have a primary safety for my less than 40kg littlest while doing via ferrata. Even when in a not ideal belay position, it still was smooth, and I felt quite confident keeping her safe. And although not completely needed for my older daughter, it was a nice psychologically when tackling dolomiten scree

Excellent all-around basic rope

For a non-dry, all-around rope, this is excellent. -9.9mm is perfect for all-around use. -Non-Dry is just fine for gym or outdoor when you know you’re not going to get it wet or subject it to really hard use - no need to waste money on a dry rope if you know you don’t need it! -nice and supple rope - has middle mark -this rope comes in multiple lengths. I got the 40m (which is a length more suited for the gym) because I use this rope when I’m taking kids and beginners and I know we aren’t sending anything higher than 50-60 feet…no need to schlep around 50% more rope when I know I won’t need it!

Really great rope for inside/outside TR and sport

This was my first climbing rope and it has been great so far! The 60m length is great for just about all the routes I have been wanting to do even on 90 foot walls. Very durable and feeds rope well. Overall very happy with this as my first rope

Smooth Handling

I’m a little surprised about how smooth and nice this rope is to handle. I’ve been using this to lead on a weekly basis for the past four months, both in the gym and outdoors, and it’s a much more pleasant rope handling experience than other ropes I’ve handled. I’d almost describe it as buttery. It’s been a great experience overall with it, and I’m definitely considering getting this again once my current rope needs replacing. One thing to note is that this rope is a very vibrant blue, which stands out a lot, compared to most other ropes which are multicolored. Make of that what you will, since it could be a pro or a con depending on your preferences.

Great entry level climbing rope

This is a great rope to get for those just getting into rock climbing and aren’t quite sure what the different verbiage means. It’s a durable rope that has lasted me about 1 year of moderate use on rock climbing trips lasting 2-3 days. 60 m is long enough to where you won’t have to worry about not having enough rope for areas you will probably be visiting as a beginner and can probably carry over to a few more advanced areas as you progress. It’s pretty light weight as well and has been used in mud, rained on, and walked on, but as long as you take care of it where you can, it should last a good while from top rope climbing use and rappelling.

Great daily crag and gym rope

Purchased this rope a couple months ago to use regularly afterwork cragging and at the gym. It climbs and belays great, and has a good catch on short sport falls. It was a little slick out of the box, but has broken in well and quickly, it's knot friendly, ties well and easy to untie even after hangdogging sessions. I work with a lot of newer climbers, and the only (-) has been that for less experienced belayers it's a little hot and slick. Using a belay glove, and/or coaching proper belay technique with ATC and braking assist devices negates this complaint. great daily use rope. When this one wears out I'll replace it with the same thing.

Good Rope! Give it time to break in and clean it

I bought the 80m as my all-around rope. I use it in the gym and at the crag for sport climbing. I love the 9.9mm thickness because it makes it easy to belay with but I never worry about it. Mine's held up quite well, though I do make sure to handle it with care, clean it whenever it gets dirty, and check it frequently. My only complaints about this rope are that the end tabs fell off immediately and it tried to fray slightly at one end (but I was able to re-seal it and it's been fine since then). Also, it does have an issue with coiling. I've used mine regularly for months and it still coils (some days worse than others) when trying to lower a lead climber. But, I'm sure that will go away and I'm still happy with the rope.

Great for the gym!

Picked this rope up about a month ago because I needed a gym rope. Split it in two and BAM! Two gym ropes! Seriously though, it handles great, feels awesome, easy to feed through an ATC, and is just a super cool color.
