Effective Medium Duty Pad
Happy with these. Sizing wise I sometimes hover between small and medium in sleeved knee pads, in these I am a Medium. They stay put well, have lots of coverage and are confidence inspiring. While the sleeve itself is very tight (in a good way) the impact foam is kind of hinged and therefore not restrictive. Relatively breathable. A nice medium duty pad for anything from all day trail rides to jumping/bike park stuff. They do feature a small opening on the back of the sleeve which isn't my favorite look but helps with breathability and movement. Could lead to a strange tan line on an all day ride ;)
Comfortable an well made!
I needed some knee pads quickly after buying some that didnt fit properly. I decided to try these out. I liked that they weren't just a thin layer of foam. Instead, they have what feels like a thick enough rubber insert that almost feels like a tire tread. I bought them right before heading to Bentonville, AR for a weekend of riding. I wore them for 3 hours the first day, riding around 16 miles. They stayed in place, were very comfortable and were not too hot. I had minor irritation behind my knee but I don't think I had them pulled up all the way. The irritation was gone almost immediately after taking them off. I wore them for another 10 miles (about 2 hours) the next day with the same level of comfort. My only gripe is; the rubber rim that keeps them firmly in place will pull your leg hairs a bit while putting them on. Its hardly an issue once you get good at putting them efficiently. Overall, I'm very pleased with these. They're my first pair of knee pads so I dont have a lot of comparison but I'm happy.
The Best knee protection
I recently bought a unicycle and after several face plants and skinned knees, I bought the Slayer Knee Pads. The pads have saved my knees on multiple occasions and give me more confidence when riding to know I wont get bruised or skinned knees again. They are very high quality, provide excellent range of motion comfort, they stay put and do not slip down on my leg while pedaling. I am pleased with my purchase and know that these knee pads will provide me with many years and miles of protection and comfort while advancing my skills.
Best lightweight pads
I’ve owned several pairs of lightweight knee pads and all have either ripped or would slip off during falls (g forms did both). I have been SO impressed with these pads after a year with them - not only are they confortable and breathable for summer riding, but the way they take impact without slipping is unlike I’ve seen before.
Mountain Bike Knee Pads
I love these knee pads. I purchased a size large. I am a 5'10" women with thin legs. Surprised I was sized in a large. They fit perfect, slide only a little, mostly when I am sweating. I have been biking a lot this summer, they are not over hot, but remain very comfortable the entire ride. They are light, have great knee flexibility and super comfortable. Love these
Poor stitching
I received this product and wore it out riding once, hand washing it and air drying it after use. Unfortunately, the stitching along the top edge (on both pads and in three places) is already coming unraveled after that limited use. In the interest of longevity, I would not recommend this at all.
nice one and does the job
I am using this in San Diego and so far I have it for couple of weeks. It works fine and feel comfortable. It is not hot in the summer and while biking I did not feel I have them on at all. I felts once so far and it helped to protect my knees. I would recommend it
Comfortable
These are great. I wear them even during a long climb and I don't notice them. I've unfortunately had to test them out a couple of times, but they definitely saved my knees!
Fit is great and quality is top notch
I was hesitant about getting these online. For years I have thought "maybe I should get some knee pads" and at 40 y/o I think they are a good idea as I still ride my mountain bike fairly hard. They fit really well. I have muscular legs so I needed something that wasn't going to constrict me. Most gear (and I mean about 95%) is made for a certain demographic that I don't fit in. These however are the "bees knees" so to speak.
Sizing Runs Small
Couldn't find these in a medium or large in any stores so I went by the manufacturers sizing which was way too small. I popped seams trying to get the medium on. Wasted time and money. If you can ensure a proper fit before purchasing they may be good pads, but because of low stock, I could not.
