A good replacement for the older FS map

I bought this map to replace my 1989 paper version of the Forest Service map of the northern portions of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. The paper version had taken a beating. The Cairns version is printed on waterproof paper. The Cairn version has a few more details than the FS version. It provides trail mileage in places. I do find the dark green background color on most of the Cairn map to be a bit annoying. Presumably these are the forested areas. However, the green coloration is so dark it makes it difficult to pick out some features like contour lines, some trails, and some printed text. The FS map is a lighter green and more white background which is easier to read. For this reason I did not give Cairn a full 5 stars.
