Usually wear size 6.5 in running shoes. Bought size 38 in these boots as recommended on their size chart. Perfect fit. Amazingly comfortable right out of the box. Wore them for a couple of short walks then on a 16 mile hike. Light, comfortable, great treads. No blisters or hot spots.
I bought these for a trip to Iceland. I had read waterproof boots were a must for this trip. I admit I was initially drawn to these for aesthetics, and I had felt a little guilty for spending so much on my boots. I am actually on this trip right now and feel so strongly about these boots I had to review them while here. These are waterproof in rain, crossing deepish puddles, runoff streams, and spray from waterfalls. I can climb around on wet rocks with perfect traction. I can walk through unstable gravel for a mile+ and have never felt more surefooted. I’m not even thinking about whether or not I can climb up some rocks for a great photo and not roll my ankle. At the end of the day my feet, ankles and calves feel fine, which is unheard of for me. And, even more shockingly, at the end of the day I’m not desperate to get them off and let my feet breathe. I have arthritic arches, ankles that swell and I’m 275 lbs. I really didn’t think it was possible to feel like this while traveling. I might even wear them on the plane home. I couldn’t say if I would wear these on a 10 mile backpacking hike, but I’m pretty sure I would give them a try.
I love these boots so much that I am on my second pair. They last a long time, are very comfortable and run true to size.
These are amazingly comfortable but unfortunately I wear size 11 and I was so happy to find these but they run small! So disappointing. They feel extremely comfortable but on the downhill my toes fully hit the front so I cannot keep them. For anyone with women's size 10 or smaller feet, these are probably the most amazing boots.
I don’t usually review things but I want to let people know that this boot is SO comfortable. I hike 2-10 miles a day, every day and these boots make me happy. I’ve worn them from the rainy PNW forests and mountains to the hot, dry Sonoran Desert—love these boots. When I bought these boots, they didn’t come in half sizes so I went back and forth between a 10 and 11. Settled on the ten and they have since shaped pretty nicely to my feet. It’s tough if your feet are right on the line but it also depends on your weight I would think due to swelling in the feet on a hot, AZ day. The red laces are super cute too!
These hiking boots are AMAZING, I need arch support on my feet and these boots got it all, arch support, anti slip, work amazing all seasons. I'm done buying other hiking boots these are IT!!! And This is Fax. During winter I wore yak Trax and I spray anti waterproof spray on boots and its the best.
Have been wearing these hiking in the Cascades for the past several months. Think roots, rocks, mileage and elevation. Love them. They seriously feel like they were made for my feet. I did order the special cleaner, as I want these to last for as long as possible.
I have had a horrible experience trying to find hiking boots that fit my feet for longer hikes. I have flat arches and wide feet, and it seems most boots fit narrow and cramp my toes. I have bought and worn other brands and always end up hating the boot when hiking anything over 6 miles. I've kind of just dealt with it and learned to tape my feet up before any hike. I finally decided to spend some money on these and see if it helps. I have had these for about 6 months now. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 in shoes. I went with a 9 Wide. They are very sturdy boots with great ankle support. Great traction with amazing quality You can really tell that these are $300 boots and not $150 boots. No issues with water inside my boot. I did have some foot pain (on bottoms of feet) after using on a 20 mile hike, but they weren't completely broken in yet either. They fit snug around my foot, but the toe box is wide and doesn't cramp up my toes like previous boots did. I am hoping I still love these boots after a year but so far so good. So far these are worth the money!
I have hiked exclusively in Salomon hiking shoes for about 10 years, and I finally broke down and got these for the ankle support. I'm still breaking these in, but so far I can't say enough good things about them. They are super cute, super comfortable, and give great support.
I bought these boots to hike the TMB this August. Wearing them to break them in and so far they are the most comfortable boots I own!
