The belt buckle/fabric locked in pretty well for about 6 months. Over the next 6 months, the belt started to slide out and not stay cinched up. As time goes, its get worse. It's been hard to find a nylon belt that stays locked in very long. I thought this one was it, but it's not. I've tried 511, Blackhawk, military cotton belt, and others. The "Trooper" belt I bought at an army surplus for $4 has been the only one holding up

Simple Design Solid Construction

Switched from a leather belt that always absorbed too much sweat and stretched, requiring constant adjustment every few miles. This tech web is well-made, does not change when wet and so kept my pants and Mora knife in place much better no matter the miles or sweat/rain. I got it with my Member coupon b/c it is pricey, but I expect it to last forever. Sometimes simple design is what works best.

Great universal belt

Perfect belt. I have 3 belts bought over last 5 years ( to keep them separate for different activities). It works great for everything: wearing with jeans at work, hiking, working around house and yard. And it works great if you need to carry firearm - which I do occasionally when I am alone in remote areas. Unlike other tech belts it is easy to adjust (i.e. to loosen up when you , say, sitting a long time on a plane). Durable. I wish Patagonia would make it a dark brown color - which would go nicely with jeans.

A-frayed this belt is not a good buy

This belt started off great, but began to fray and come apart within 3 months.

Good Belt

Great belt! Very sturdy and doesn't loosen up on you. Just tightening it can be a little tricky, but once you have it in a comfortable spot, it is not going anywhere. Love that the belt is long enough to hide the end of it in the belt loops without being bulky. It's my work belt, and I wouldn't mind wearing this as an everyday belt. Definitely, a unisex belt, too!

Love it, use it every day

I bought this belt to replace a heavy leather belt that was my daily wear mostly with jeans. It is the perfect replacement. It has a substantial feel to it that works well for me. The thing is perfectly designed, it is quick to "lock" in and out. You can trim the length with a hot cutting tool (REI store did this for me).

Great belt but better if smaller

Works well, doesn't slip. Not terribly attractive. Wish it were smaller. It would be better in 1 1/4" size.

16 years later...

I purchased this belt in 2006! It has expanded with me, shrunk with me, and expanded again. It has been used to haul kids up ravines, bundle sticks, and pull luggage; but mostly keep my pants securely in place. 16 years and going strong. What will I possibly replace it with???

Patagonia tec web belt

Best belt I've ever owned and I tried them all. Amazing quality and super comfortable. Easy to adjust whenever you want and stays in place. Been wearing this brand belt for like 4 or 5 years now ever single day. I replace with new one every two years or so to keep it fresh.

Only Belt I Use

I bought this belt 10+ years ago and fell in love. A few years later I got a second and was disappointed to learn they changed the design. Glad they brought back the OG. Simple, stays put and functional. Purchased this is a gift for my father, he loves it just as much.
