Wonderful Everyday/Travel Wallet- 1 Minor Issue

I really like this wallet. Enough so that when someone clipped the lock off of my gym locker (in board daylight!) and stole my backpack and everything in it, I didn't hesitate to buy this product again to replace it. It's great that it has RFID blocking tech in it, but it's also a very well designed item. PROS: -The zipper goes all the way around so there's never a fear of things "falling out of the top." - Pen holder on the inside is suprisingly useful. -The passport pocket is a nice place to put extra cards and small items for when you're not carrying around your passport. -Carrying strap and hooks are a HUGE bonus! My iPhone 8+ fits inside this wallet when it's fully zipped so when I want to go really minimal, I put my phone in the wallet and carry the wallet like a crossbody purse. (Phone with a case and PopSocket on the back!) The strap can also be used as an anti-theft deterrant if you clip one end the strap to the wallet and the other to an "anchor" point in your backpack/bag. CON: -The only one very minor issue that I have with this wallet is that it seems like the outer piece of fabric seems slightly too short and the inner material gets bunched up on the inside. This is very hard to describe and probably near impossible to document through photos. The best thing I can liken this to is when you cover a text book using the paper grocery bag method and you make the piece of bag too short or too long. You end up getting some weird bunching/stretching issues when you try and open the close the book. OVERALL -This is one of the best wallets I've had and I really enjoy the fact that I don't feel like I need to switch between an everyday and travel wallet when I hit the road.

Works okay except for one fatal flaw

The wallet has one star reduction for the elastic, and one reduction for the original clasp. I recommend the wallet, just annoyed I had to spend extra money to upgrade it to something better. I needed a wallet with a chain/cord to replace my old "ultraslim front pocket" wallet because I kept losing it. It kept falling out of my pocket and I didn't notice because it was soooo light. Anyway, completely my own fault. After cancelling credit cards etc for the 3rd time, I finally decided to get a wallet with a chain (a wallet for dummies haha). After shopping around, I decided on this wallet. The wallet itself is fine. no issues. I keep it in my front pocket. FATAL FLAW: The problem I have is with the "lobster claw" clasp because it didn't work very well. The tips of the clasp don't overlap and there is no real tension to keep it shut or locked. The clasp is more like a weak gate. The main reason why I bought this wallet is so it would remain secure and tethered. The clasp opened up WHILE IN MY POCKET so the wallet became unclipped! After that happened twice during normal use / daily life, I replaced the cord with one that had a keychain closed loop. I am concerned that the elastic band that keeps the wallet shut will eventually fray/stretch and fail, but that's TBD. Not sure what my recourse would be either since it is sewn into the seams and is the only thing that keeps the wallet closed. The wallet's natural state of rest is to open at the bend in a " V " or " < " about 1-2 inches wide. The strap is essentially a rubberband permanently sewn on the wallet. Also, I found the original cord to be too short to be honest but that has nothing to do with the performance of the wallet itself, it just didn't fit well with my daily use. The cord / tether seems to be made from leftover climbing strap so I think it will be strong. So, I keep my metro card in my wallet. The RFID works perfectly BTW haha, so I now have to open my wallet to touch the metro card to the reader. But I found the original cord to be too short when looped through my belt to reach the reader so I probably would have replaced the cord anyway for something a little longer.

Great Passport & Wallet Storage for Traveling

Purchased this product for a recent week longer trip with multiple border crossings. The size makes is so it will fit in your back pocket to take the place of your wallet perfectly. Plenty of room for Passport, ID, CCs, cash, receipts, pen and small notepad. The zipper and landyard seem to hold up well, some improvements were definitely made since the last reviews. One minor issue is when the ID zipper is shut, it will slightly indent your passport if this is in your backpocket and your sitting on it. I left the ID zipper open once i figured this out with no issues.

Durable wallet.

This wallet helps keep all my cards and money tidy. My first Pacsafe RFIDsafe V150 RF lasted a few years of activity, including a 9,000+ mile bicycle tour.

The one I've been waiting for

I have been hunting a great travel wallet for a long time (I am one of those "nothing in the pockets" kind of traveller). They are usually limited in their carrying capacity ("passport wallet", "holds cash and three credit cards"...), thin, lightweight design for under the shirt, or large and bulky to fit in another bag. Stumbled upon this in my local REI. This one coveniently and organizationally holds everything I need, and I can wear it with comfort and little security concern. I can even fold my iPhone into the wallet. I originally got it for travel, but it quickly became my everyday wallet (carry it in my Pacsafe sling going to work). Finally got to travel with it, to the mountains of Idaho for the total solar eclipse. Was convenient and easy-going, whether in flight, hiking, or just visiting. Everything is easily accessible, especially my passport and credit cards.

Bigger than most wallets.

Second one that I have purchased. The bad. Credit cards fall out of the wallet. The individual slide in for the cards is to big, cards fall out easily. After three years the outside zipper failed on my first wallet. The good, Passports fits. Zippered driver license holder and many zippered pockets.

Lightweight But Secure

Just returned from a three week adventure in Scotland and Ireland. Carried this everyday even on a 5 day, 110 km and 8,000' elevation gain when hiking the Dingle Way in Ireland. Have had other types of Organizers from other manufacturers but this is the best. Oh, I have been traveling over 40 years around the globe.

Better options out there...

Unit is pretty well made, as expected from PacSafe. Sadly, outer case material is crinkly and semi-rigid. Just an unpleasant in-hand feel. Inside, it has a mesh window for the passport, a feature that is both unnecessary and adds seams for the passport to get caught on. It also has a pair of lanyard rings on the back, for those travelers that still think that hanging things around their neck is a neat way to hide things. Just a poor fit, though well-made, but not the best option at this price point.

Pleased

This item was securely and conveniently handy (around my neck) throughout the boarding process while traveling. Big enough for a passport, ID, and credit cards, but not tools big or heavy. I like the two inside pockets (one of which was zippered) too.
