Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent jacket I also have an Arcteryx waterproof but find myself using the Codetta jacket much more. It is longer, which is very useful both for walking and cycling, extremely light and very comfortable to wear. I cycle a lot and the slits at the back are life savers. The hood is also big enough to accommodate a riding helmet. The jacket is both elegant and practical. Its only fault is that it does not have any pockets apart from the two outside pockets, but I can see that this would make the garment heavier. I wish there were more colours, though. A darker beige would be very welcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal everyday waterproof city coat I love this jacket! I can wear it out for dinner or to pick the kids up from school. I like the way the hood fits (with a pony tail), I can see but it keeps the rain off my face. It's just a shell, so it's not super cozy but it's perfect if you layer depending on the temperature. My only complaint is that it's a bit noisy but it's because the fabric is completely waterproof. I love how clean and stylish the design is. I also have the sylva jacket, which I love for the colder weather although not as waterproof, it's virtually silent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing everyday coat I absolutely love this coat! I bought it as an everyday piece that would protect me from the rain and it has gone above and beyond. It can be dressed up, or down, and I even bike to work in it! The length is amazing compared to a more athletic jacket, it come to about half way down my thigh and that added protection, especially when sitting on my bike, is very nice to have! The water-proofness has never failed, 100% beading, I wore it all spring and the Gore-tex has not shown any signs of wetting through. There are no pit zips so I wouldn't suggest it for much high endurance activity, but walking, hiking and even moderate biking, it is great for. I really love how basic the design is, it's probably the most simple jacket or coat I've ever seen in the Arc'teryx line and that's really what makes it so versatile. Although my ONLY complaint with it's simplicity, is the lack of hood functions makes it a tiny bit annoying when you have the hood up. I find it hangs forward almost in front of my eyes. Visibility is not 100% when the hood in on. But all in all, I would definitely recommend the Codetta!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way but the hood I so wanted this jacket to work and hung onto it for awhile to think about it, but in the end I had to return it. The hood just doesn't fit right; the brim flops down across my eyes and there's no way to adjust it so this won't happen. Sure wish it had the same two- or three-way adjustability features of other Arcteryx hoods. I'm hoping the next generation of this coat will address this flaw. I love everything else about the coat--especially the style, length, and blue onyx color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the clean lines and Luna color but not the hood Lovely jacket and really well made but the hood is huge--to fit a helmet underneath. If you are not wearing a helmet the hood falls past my nose down to my lips-- no exaggeration. It would also be nice to have a two way zipper with a jacket this length. I would also call this a trim or normal fit rather than relaxed. If it weren't for the hood and zipper I would keep it, it's lovely but...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a good purchase I was looking for something functional yet stylish for my office job. I feel I found that balance with this jacket. I withheld a star due to the scratchy closure. When completed closed, the bottom part of my face/neck was uncomfortable after twisting in the jacket while driving and walking for less than an hour use. I feel this is a design oversight given the price of the jacket. I am fortunate to live in a climate where when it rains I'd want a scarf for extra warmth which mitigates the scratchy closure issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Codetta is my Favorite everyday rain jacket The codetta has a very flattering trim fit. It is very water proof and awesome for rainy days. It is light weight and also great for traveling as it packs up pretty small. I wear this jacket mostly in the spring and fall on rainy city days when it’s above freezing and I need to stay dry. It is an all around great jacket!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks city chic yet still a good technical piece. Zipper is bad quality. Really like the style of this jacket, I have it in black, it looks great, sleek, keeps the water out. I'll also wear it with layers for below zero days. Unlike some others, I don't mind the giant hood, it doesn't flatten my hair. The one major complaint would be the zipper. It's quite a small zipper, I think it could be a bit more substantial. Also, if I bend or accidentally move a certain way and put a bit of pressure on the bottom of the coat, the zipper comes undone from the bottom. It's then tough to unzip it to reconnect the zipper properly again. It doesn't take a lot of force for it to come undone either. On a sidenote, I also have the Atom LT hoody and the zipper doesn't lock. Almost all zippers "lock" when the pull is facing downwards #it's natural state# to avoid the article from coming undone ie) you'll notice it on zip fly pans/jeans, ykk zippers. The atom zipper does not lock. Considering the cost of Arc'teryx items, the zippers definitely need work. I'm not sure I'll purchase any more Arc'teryx items unless zippers are higher quality.
