Buy these pants!
These are great! The weight and stretch make these so versatile - you can wear them with or without long underwear (I prefer silk). Stretchy fabric is amazing - and they are super flattering. Soft waistband! I'm 5.4, 130#, 55, and I like my clothes comfy. I bought an 8 Short so I could layer. They do stretch after wearing a bit. Could have gone down a size but really wanted to layer in winter. Didn't hesitate to pay the price since they were an absolute must have when I tried them on. I wear these to the office (lucky us to get to dress tech / casual) and always get compliments. My college son saw these, felt the fabric, and asked for a pair for Christmas.

Disappointed Kuhl fan.
I have always loved Kuhl hiking pants and shorts and their perfect fit. I typically wear a 4. BUT, this year they seemed to be cutting pants differently. They fit way too tight in the crotch while being too big in the waist. Even a size 8 was too tight there.

Excellent Pants

These pants were a winner for my winter travels. Versatile, with a flattering fit. Four-way stretch was a blessing. Just returned from Iceland and the Italian Alps. Wore these pants almost every day with fleece-lined leggings underneath. Perfect combo! Pants were terrific rain, snow, and wind blocker while walking around Iceland. Used the pants for skiing in the Italian Alps, I unzipped lower-leg zipper and pants fit perfect over ski boots. Got caught in a blizzard in Cervinia, my legs were dry and warm. Pants pack small, do not wrinkle, and repelled dirt and snow. Super happy with this product. I highly recommend!!

Great pants!

I bought these in a rush because i needed a pair of hiking pants to wear in (early) snowy weather. I wore them with long underwear (so I can't vouch for how they feel against bare skin), and they moved well, were waterproof, and washed up nicely. And a nice surprise -- they are even flattering! The waist sits a bit on the higher side (which I like), the belt loops are wide and well places, and I appreciated the zipper pull that didn't require the removal of mittens. I'm looking forward to using them again soon. I admit that I have a number of Kuhl items and am definitely a fan of this brand.

Perfect for Hiking and Travel

Size: they seemed true to the size chart. I normally wear a 2 and got the 4 so I would have room for another layer. Design: very comfortable, no gap in the waist, room in the legs, modern cut, pockets are perfect and my iphone fit in the one on the leg, VERY flattering with a little bit of stretch. Use: These were the only non-summer pants I took for a month-long Africa trip that included 10 days camping and hiking on Mt. Kilimanjaro. I barely used my rain/wind pants because these were enough! I get lots of compliments and questions about them. There are boot hooks at the hem so wash with like items or in a laundry bag.

Great for x-country, hiking

I just bought these pants a few weeks back, so they've not been tested fully yet. However, I purchased them for hiking and x-country skiing in the back country (not skiiing, just kicking around some trails), and so far, so good. They keep out the wind really well and with a pair of gaiters, I don't have to worry about getting wet as they're nicely water resistant. I bought them slightly larger than necessary in order to wear a base layer underneath, but with or without the base layer, they fit great. The pockets ... well, I could go on for days (in a good way) about the pockets. All-in-all, worth every penny!

Perfect for chilly hikes & hard wearing!

I was looking for a pair of trousers to wear hiking and backpacking in the autumn and winter, and these are perfect! Warm and wind proof enough to prevent chills, but breathable enough to avoid overheating. (Were I to be in colder conditions I’d likely pair with some light long johns.) The abrasion resistance is great, and the pockets are in practical and comfortable positions. My only critique is that they run surprisingly small. My other pair of lightweight Kuhl hiking trousers are an 8, but an 8 was way too small for these Klash trousers. I ended up with a 12 short, which fits perfectly, having found the 10 was also too small. Worth keeping in mind if you’re ordering online and wanting to order several sizes to try - definitely suggest sizing up.

Climbed Mt Rainier

I climbed Mt Rainier this past weekend and wore these all three days. There were times when I was wet from snow, but in the sun they dried quickly. The stretchiness of these were exactly what was needed. I was easily able to wear my base layer without having to go a bigger size, as they are not insulated. I didn't have to wear a base layer until it got into the low 20s. The material has just enough heft to give them the resilience needed for mountaineering. Highly recommend!!!

Rooster Proof!!!

I’ve had these pants for a couple of years, yes they’re great for hiking, so protective against branches and anything that you think could rip them. BUT, in a leg-saving twist, your attack rooster can’t penetrate them with his talons!!!! The amount of rage you encounter when you come upon the attack rooster is not enough to rip these pants. Thank you, these pants have saved me and made a certain bird in my life a litter madder.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for

I bought these for a trip to Iceland, and wore them several times in both rain and cold weather. They did an excellent job at repelling water and keeping me warm while hiking. They have a drawstring and a button, so they stayed in place and didn't fall down even without a belt. I thought they were a little bit bigger than a regular small, but the drawstring made them workable. I am 5'3 and 115 pounds. Plus, they are not ugly like most rain/wind gear. They can almost pass as "normal" pants. I recommend them.

Only pant you'll need

These are great pants. I brought 4 pairs of pants (only 1 KUHL pant) on a 3 week trip and wore these 75% of the time. They are a solid pant. They fit well, they are made of sturdy material, so ideal for fall, winter and spring. They repel water and fairly windproof. The pockets rock, esp the side leg pocket, big enough for a large phone, wallet or passport. All pockets zippered and the cut is great. You can dress them up or down. They are a mid rise and it would be nice to have a high rise as well. On my next trip I will have 2 pairs of these pants (wish they made them in a nice brown, but alas) ditch the other 2 and lighten my suitcase. Lastly, it is so hard to find a women's pant that has a little thickness to it for colder conditions, so I was thrilled when I felt the material in these pants.
