The bike for all purposes
This is the one bike that i like really much not just because it looks good, but it also feels comfortable and rides smoothly throughout most roads. The speed lockout is a new feature that i tried with this bike and i realized it is useful. The seat is really comfortable for hybrid bikes based on my opinion. The shimano deore shifter can smoothly change gears when going fast or slow, and on bumpy roads or pavement. Just like most hybrid bikes, this one comes with pedals, but i preferred my own. Now i simply use it for exercise and going to work.
Great bike, fast...
Purchased a few weeks ago. Good ride, quick shifting, fast rolling bike.
Great Bike and REI is a great store
Needed to get in shape and at 61 I can’t run so bought this bike. Bought it in April ‘18 and ride progressively more miles on it every week.....up to 35 miles per ride now. Great bike. Very comfortable. I’m 5’8” and Medium is Perfect. I upgraded with a more comfortable seat and added Shimano Mountain Bike clip pedals. Only complaint was it was advertised with a 3mm riser bar but came in with a straight bar. REI made that right though. Color is boring.....options on colors would have been nice.
Great Times ahead
I bought this bike for my wife. It was a little more $$ than I had planned however Cannondale came through with a great bike. My wife loves the bike and enjoys its speediness and the shock absorption. It's just right for our riding level and multi terrain that we enjoy. I would recommend changing out the tubes or loading them with puncture goo. The back tire blew out by the second ride. Also it fits funny on upper bar bike racks.
Most Bang for the buck
This was my well-thoughtout final choice after many many months of test riding and research. For this particular price range, it surpassed Specialized just enough to be my #1. Light, quick, nimble, nice craftsmanship with good components.
First "real" bike in over 15 years
Prior to this bike I've owned two schwinn's and a pacific from walmart (do they still make those anymore?). I wanted to get back into riding and went into REI ready to buy one of the Co-Op models. But then this bad boy caught my eye. I've gone about 100 miles so far; 20 of those miles were off-road hiking style paths (not completely single track) and maybe about 2 miles of single track. The rest were bike paths and rail trails. It's handled all terrains comfortably, with no complaints. It is indeed quick to get up to speed. The sand was a bit of a workout; I'd imagine MTB Tires would have been better, and could have made some of the bumpier rail trail areas and roots a little more comfortable, but honestly, this bike, it wasn't bad at all. And for me, it's been very easy to steer while going up hills or through rough terrain. It also just looks sexy. I'm no bike expert, but I'm very happy with this purchase.
All around good value
You are definitely getting a great bike for great price point. Smooth ride. Easy shifting and good braking. Perfect for my bike trail and city street commute. Yes, it’s a little on the heavy side but I figure peddling the extra lbs will keep me in shape all the more.
Lots of broken components
I would love this bike if it had quality components. I have broken spokes multiple times when riding pavement. I have had peddles break off. I have had bikes that I have ridden hard off road that did not have these problems.
Great bike, reilable parts.
It is Excellent bike, especially riding in the hill it helps a lot. worth buying, enjoy riding.
