Good product by a trusted manufacture
Replace a 50mm stem with this 35mm stem. Down-hill (DH) riders have it right. You have to move the bar back as far as you can so as to get your center-of-mass as far back on the bike as possible for DH descents. This stem also allows use of the new 35mm diameter handle bars. I'm all for strong bars. I've had a carbon bar brake on me. But it can be metal bars as well. Just search the web for images. And I believe for this same reason, the next generation of carbon bars will all be 35mm.
Great cheap upgrade for handling!
I grabbed this to have a smaller stem and it made my hardtail waaaaay more responsive on the trails! I grabbed a longer handle bar (Raceface) also and maaaaaan! The going over the handlebar feeling in certain situations were gone. Great cheap upgrades are sweet. I'll be back!

Perfect length stem for the trails in W WA. Barely noticed the shorter stem length after install. Install was easy and straight forward.
