Unknown because not yet usable

So, I bought a new tube and these valves. Turns out the tube is too wide to fit on my old connector (part that hooks tube to bladder). Can't find the right tube or a more up to date connector that would work with my old bladder and the new tube. I hate it when a company comes out with new stuff and just stops supporting their old systems. I'm not made out of money and therefore can't afford to replace entire systems at the whim of the company. And I don't see where the change in the system by Camelbak makes their system any better.

One-handed operation, good for biking

I'd been frustrated with the right-angle valves I'd previously had: they tend to clog, and it's impossible to lever them on and off with one hand, so when mountain biking I had to leave the lever open all the time and accept a bit of dripping on my legs. Also, 90 degrees usually had the bite valve coming in at an odd angle to my mouth. This 45-degree valve is fairly easy to operate with one hand and comes in at a friendlier angle. I worried a little about the "Crux Reservoir" name because I don't think my reservoirs are "Crux", but the valve fit my hose just fine.

Easy to use and works well

This valve is easy to install and use. the on/off lever can be operated with one hand, which is nice. I bought this for use with an old reservoir made by Ultimate Direction, but it's a good fit for the tubing on that reservoir. For those considering buying this that want some dimensions to see if it will fit their tubing, here they are, measured with calipers: Smooth end for bite valve: I.D. (inside diameter): 0.255", O.D (outside diameter): 0.400" Barbed end for hose: I.D.: 0.250", O.D.: 0.350" (min.), 0.375" (max.) The barbed end is a very snug fit in the tubing of my reservoir, and will be somewhat difficult to remove when the time comes to clean the tubing. I don't have a CamelBak Crux reservoir, so I can't say how snugly it will fit that tubing.

Good thing for the trails

Great product. Had a leak with my original one. Took it in to a rei store. Put water in it and stillleaked. Bought a new one and will see what happens. Also bought a mouth bite. Sht the water off with the valve but still had water leaking. I’ve only had this camelback 2 months. Got a new mouth bite so will see what happens with this, just weird that it would leak so soon. No cuts or damage to either part

Clever but leaks

Filled up the new CamelBak Crux and found the leak at the valve. It leaks in the on and off position, so it's got to go back.

It's whatever

It's a nozzle for a hydration pack. It doesn't come with a bite piece and is expensive. Thanks, CamelBak. I like paying more for accessories from you than from your competitors. Oh wait, no I don't. I'll make sure to go with another brand next time.

I was confused about what I ordered.

I received the product super fast, and it is honestly my fault that I was confused. In the description, it says that it didn't come with the bite valve. I was just confused because I assumed that I was getting what was in the picture, so I am disappointed that it didn't come with the bite valve because now I have to pay for shipping again in order to get that part as well.

Easy to Relace Non-Bite Valve

It was easy to replace the non-bite valve with one that you can turn on and off. This works well and I do not have to be concerned about the value leaking.

Best bite valve for any reservoir

Best bite valve for hydration. Replaced the valve that came with a Hydrapak bladder. Much easier to switch on and off.
