Bear spray slips out of this easy
I bought this for hiking in bear country, grizzly country, on the first hike it slipped right out of the holder. I lost a $50 can of counter assault bear spray because of it. I returned it to REI and received my money back for the holster, but now I'm out an expensive can of bear spray and hoping to go hiking in Yellowstone this weekend so it needs to be replaced! I would have been better off using my back pack side pocket after all.
Spray stays in, but should carry both belt sizes
I used this for several trail runs and it worked great. I read the review about one person losing their can of bear spray, but really needed something for running without a back pack, so tried this. The can of spray was secure, with no issues or concerns about losing it, if the velcro was fastened properly. There are two sizes "S/M" and "L/XL" but REI seems to only carry the "L/XL." You can get the smaller size from amazon or other stores. It would be great if REI carried both sizes, as this is the only good option I have found for running with bear spray (if you don't want to wear a small back pack with the spray on the back pack strap). Chest harnesses bounce too much, yet this neoprene belt works great.
Only sells large size
Had to return. Too big for thin customers. REI only shows large on website. Had to return and order small through Amazon.
