This helmet is comfortable and high quality. Adjustment features are easy and my dragon goggles work well with it. However the gopro mounting system is a joke, I'd feel more comfortable with an adhesive mount. Twice while riding mt bachelor my camera flew off after light crashes. The mounting plate is held in by a clip thats about an 1/8th of an inch thick which doesn't keep the thing from moving around while it's in place. If your just riding cruisers all day it's probably not a big deal, but if you ride aggressively like me then your going to want something more secure. I'm trying to figure out a means to lock it in place without altering the helmet too much.
I bought this for my husband as we have mountain bike helmets with the MIPS technology and are very impressed with it as he had a crash and the bike helmet performed as promised and really saved him from a potentially bad situation. That aside, he said this is the most comfortable ski helmet he has worn. So, second day on the slopes, he did take a hard fall doing a barrel roll and landed on his shoulder and head. His shoulder is still sore a week later, but the helmet saved his bacon. He could feel the extra rotation and is really glad he had this new helmet for protection.
fits way to big even compared to my previous L Giro helmet which was L matted blue Giro 9. I switched to L black " zone " helmet large( ski patrol) and it swims on my head. The matte Blue was a bit tight and both these helmets were L ( large ) size. Great helmet but I would go to store with goggles and your head cover and try them all on. The head measurement thing means nothing when their large size in ski helmets have such variability.
I purchased this 3 weeks ago and have used it for two full days of snowboarding. So far, so good, I purchased a medium and my head is on the small size, somewhere between the small and medium. With the rotating size adjuster at the back, this helmet fits snug, and has kept my head warm, and more importantly protected as I've been learning to snowboard, and therefore spending a lot of time on the floor!
I wear this helmet skiing, it is comfortable and warm. It has nice vents on the top that you can open and close.
