A little disappointed...
Bought this coat to replace another 3-in-1 that had lost its water repellency (despite NikWax treatments). While I'm happy with its water resistance and fit, I'm really bummed that the coat cannot be partially unzipped from the bottom. Every time I get in the car I hate the fact that I can't unzip from the bottom. I did not realize the zipper was designed this way when I bought the coat - if I had, I might not have purchased it. Why would you make a coat like this without this feature - particularly at this price? Will keep it because it is still very functional, but I'm gonna hate that zipper every time I use it... Think twice before you buy if you are at all like me.
Waterproof and Windproof
So far................GREAT! Definitely waterproof and windproof. What with the rain and wind we have had lately the jacket has performed well. Easy on and easy off and the zipper is waterproof. It would be nice if the zipper worked in both directions. The color is just what I desired so as to be seen in the field. I run my English Setter about three times per week and the jacket fits the bill. Haven't worn it without the liner.
A little stiff but warm coat
One of the things I have had to adjust to is the zipper on this model. I replaced an older Coleman jacket and the zipper on that on had larger teeth and was covered by a storm flap when the coat was zipped. This model has finer teeth and is a little harder to zip but what I have trouble with I keep trying to find the inside zipper. The zipper is part of the storm flap on this model. We had an unexpected snow event this past couple of weeks and that coat has kept me warm and shed the snow and water.
The outdoor seeker ICJacket
The jacket was delivered in a timely fashion. The jacket did not disappoint me. It looks sharp and it's very roomy. The zip out lining is a plus. I can take the lining out so I can wear it to cool fall Friday night high school football games. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not winter time yet and I haven't had a chance to wear on cold winter days. 2x size jacket fit perfectly.
Warm and comfortable
I like the color and the warmth this coat provided during my ski experience. It was comfortable and ideal for skiing. My only issue was the collar in front rubbing up against my chin and irritating my skin.
