Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for beginner cyclist's I've been wanting to get into cycling for a few months now, but wasn't sure what bike to start out with. I went into an REI store and learned about the Co-op cycle ARD 1.1 Bike. The staff was extremely kind and informative. I love the fact that this bike has disk brakes and a carbon fork. I have over 200 miles on my bike now, and everything is running smoothly. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the saddle that comes standard, can be very uncomfortable. I am thinking about putting a carbon seat post and a different saddle on mine. Overall, this is a great bike for beginner cyclist's looking to get out on the road.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great road bike This bike has been a blast to ride. But i gave it 3 stars because of the rear hub. After 600 miles the rear hub sounded like a rock crusher. Took it in to the store and they replaced the hole rear wheel. Now after almost another 600 miles the new hub is starting to have problems as well. The free wheel will stop free wheeling. This bime is only two months old and I shouldn't be having problems with the hubs. As far as the ride, its fast. It feels great, shifting is smooth. Wish the chain came with a quick link. The front derailer is a little noisy in the lower teeth gears. Except for the hub issue that I have been having I love this bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for beginners I bought this bike on the 4th of july sale. I thought this bike was a good deal for a beginner like me in road biking. I love the fact that both are disc brakes and it has a very smooth transition. The bike does not come with paddles and the saddle is kind of uncomfortable. Overall it is a great bike to start with. I have been riding this bike almost everyday. There are no problems shown so far and i am looking forward to add a kickstand on it.
