Little Pump - Big Results
Purchased this pump the day before a century in NY. Actually got a flat during the ride. This pump did what it's supposed to do! A great product at a great price.

don't expect 120psi
I wanted to carry one pump that would do large volume at 8-10 psi and small volume at 100-110 psi. From the spec sheet this pump should have fit the bill, but I could I could not get it beyond 99psi and in that range I was pumping more than 100 strokes to raise one pound of additional pressure in the tire. This isn't going to cut it for me, I will have to revert to carrying two pumps. (yes, I have an unusual tire set-up) Construction is also not very reassuring, feels cheap and wobbly. It is only a $15 pump though, and the chuck feels good and is easy to use. This pump might be useful if you were only hoping to reach 75lbs or so, it's large volume mode fills a tire fast and the high pressure mode would help you finish it off. It just can't manage the 120PSI that is claimed by Planet Bike.

Dual-action is not inuitive

Bought this years ago and didn't have to use it till now; I had no idea there was dual-action until I looked up the instruction manual to figure out what the lock/unlock feature actually does. In order to get the dual-action unlocking mechanism to work, I had to fully unscrew the locking mechanism, pull out the second barrel, then manually slide the screwcap back down the second barrel and screw back into the main casing. This took me about ten minutes and t felt like I was forcing it a bit, but it worked eventually. And once I did that, the device unlocks more or less without issue. That dual-action would have saved me a lot of time.

Not the best, but maybe the best buy

I had the original micromite, which was just barely better than nothing. Micromite 2.0 is about one inch longer and slightly heavier, but it works (twice as well). The dual plunger lockout is nonintuitive and takes a little fiddling, With a little practice in the comfort of your living room, it actually does what it is supposed to—rapidly fill an empty road tire to about 50 psi, then pump it to higher pressure with the narrow plunger.

Compact size

Good pump for Mountain biking incase you need a little extra air. Extremely light I just throw it in my bag pocket. Only reason I didn't give it full stars is material feels cheap but we'll see how long it last.

only pumps enough to get to a bike shop

This pump will pump enough air into your tires to be able to get to a bike shop with a real pump if you live in a city where bike shops are abundant, but not enough to get anywhere near the recommended pressure. The guy at my local REI sold it to me because I have bikes with both presta and shrader valves and the he said the other pumps are a pain to switch from presta to shader and back. This one is automatic.

works for me in case of an emergency

This product serves my needs as an emergency pump when I get a flat, it is not my primary 120volt air pump, but is perfect for a lightweight compact and inexpensive just in case pump. I used to have trouble getting the second stage to unlock, and just used it without extending. it now seems to have broken in a bit and now extends as designed, but I did have to play around with the mechanism to free it up from new. I thought it was defective when I first used it, I couldn't get it to extend all the way, but it fastened well to my presta tube and got me rolling without much effort. I also enjoy that planet bike has excellent customer service, learned from another product, although this pump and the reluctant second stage was mentioned, and donates a portion of profits to a good cause.

A small package that packs a lot of punch

This frame pump is so good that I bought a second one for my other bike (rather than moving from bike to bike). I’ve had no problem pulling up both road and mountain bike tires on the trail.
