Yes , I recommend this product
So I just recently purchased these and they have been sooooo helpful. Before I had these I was using flat pedals which caused me to crash pretty hard or a large drop (foot slipped off) but these pedals keep me safe and the adjustable screws are very helpful for learning and mastering new tricks!

Yes , I recommend this product
Big fan of these pedals. I switched to these from 13 year old CrankBrothers Candys and really do not notice any difference in weight, but I do notice the additional support. The first day I had the Mallets I cleared a jump for the first time that I had been casing. Was it the pedals? No, probably not but I did feel a little extra confidence. One note, the description on REI almost makes it sound like you can unclip these pedals while heading down and they will function as regular platform pedals. That's definitely not what they are designed for, but it is possible if your cleat breaks to get down the hill.

No, I do not recommend this product
First pedals I’ve bought since the late 90s. Thought they’d have more float. No float, really. Make my knees hurt just like SPDs. Sad to hear Speedplay was bought by another crummy company and Frogs aren’t made. Those were the only good pedals made.
