Most practical set
Fantastic! Everything you could ask for if you want an all in one for any cooking setting. I highly recommend re-seasoning it because all Lodge cast irons are seasoned with SOYBEAN oil and nothing else (should be stated somewhere, you're welcome). Look into the oils they really matter. Side note: Soy is in everything and if it's not moderated you will suffer the soy side effects(<google it). This is the last American brand and I support them. Just season it yourself it will help you establish a lifelong relationship.

Buy this elsewhere.
REI sells this for $30 more than other retailers do. Even on the Lodge website this item is $14 less.

Great product!

Great buy, heavy but that comes with the territory- useful for great oven recipes (ex Dutch pancake!) make sure you take note of how to clean it! We’ve been regularly putting olive oil to keep it nice!

love my lodge cast iron combo

I’ve had this for about a year. Really, really a nice piece of cookware to have at the campsite to use on my outdoor stove. We cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, whatever, all in these two pans. Extremely versatile cookware. It takes I would say 10 cookings to “break in” to make things not stick, etc. I can tell this is going to last me a life time Pro tip: use pans at home for a month or two to “season them” prior to taking them on your first camping trip.

Nothing like Lodge for Cast Iron cookware!

I've always wanted a duo set like my grandmother had... I've had my grandmother's large skillet for years, and was weary of any newly made pans not being of the same quality, but with Lodge, it's not the case! The only thing is that the top pan/lid had a toothpick sized hole/defect, but even so, it is great to cook in, and easy to clean. Just season afterwards and ready to store and use again! It's heavy as heck, but that's part of the quality. Definitely also recommend buying the silicone handle cover, otherwise you might forget and grab the handle, which is definitely as hot as the pan! We also purchased the cast iron stand, which we also love because it helps in building a teepee campfire, for when use the cookware also outdoors.

Lifetime product - for at home/at the campsite

Love this product and the multiple options you have. My only recommendation is use it at home for a month before you take it out to the campsite. Use it to brown your meat and cook bacon etc. If not your food, may stick to the bottom of the skillet when you're cooking at the campsite I make breakfast, lunch, and dinner with this while car camping. The durability is unmatched as we all know with iron skillets.

Dutch Oven combo

Our Dutch oven was the best for our weekend of camping. we cooked Nachos, home fries and even bakes chicken with veggies in it. We even made eggs and toast on the flat pan. It cooked our food evenly and it was very moist. Easy to clean. We used it out over and open fire. It was very sweet.

Excellent quality gift

I purchased this a couple weeks ago in preparation for a surprise birthday camping trip for my boyfriend. This set was amazing for campfire cooking and for the versatility it offers for cooking outdoors/indoors in general! (We had Grand Marnier French toast and eggs over easy-- delicious!-- and they both slid right off the pan with little coaxing; I will say I did season these a second time after purchase for good measure.) It comes pre-seasoned and is a nice heavy duty quality pan+pot made in the U.S.A. by a company who's been producing this line of products for a long time. And as advertised by the R.E.I. sales person that assisted, besides being excellent for cooking, it can also be used as an impromptu weapon should the situation present itself. :) With the holidays just a few months away, I already have a few people on my list that I know will be happy to receive this awesome set.
