Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great floor pump Using this pump for the first time was like using a smartphone for the first time. I never knew using a cell phone could be an enjoyable experience. Same with this pump. Easily attaches to and detaches from Presta valves. No more bent or broken valves (valve stems??? Not sure but it doesn't break the skinny thingy, capisce???). Other strengths include its clear, easy to read gauge and precise inflation. Want a little more air? It's possible to pump just enough in there thanks to the sensitive needle on the gauge then stop mid-pump, detach from valve, and walk away. Great pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It Will Fail Just Like a less expensive pump Bought several years ago and I like many other 1 star reviewers was expecting long life and hassle free use! Pressure gauge has stopped working. This is supposed to be the best most durable pump out there not. Suppose to replace the Silca floor pump in durability (when it started being a p o s.) Bought as advice by REI sales person. Wrote to the manufacturer no response. Don't waste the extra money. Just get a good pump you see on the floor at the best price you can get. Be sure and test it in the store. It will fail so that is why not wasting money on the more expensive will fail pumps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great floor pump Love this pump. Feels solid and sturdy due to the metal components instead of everything plastic. My favorite is the valve connection. Small to get in when its a tight fit. No lever to worry about. And, for my presta valves, quick removal means not losing much air. The valve does take a couple tries to get used to how it works and locks into place. But that's minor and the convenience of it is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, Durable Pump The Lezyne pump is a very solid choice for a pump! Although it seems thinner and thus flimsier than other pumps on the market, because of its steel construction it is actually very rugged. It has a higher pressure limit than most lower end air pumps. Although the higher pressure may not be needed, it gives you the reassurance that the pump will not break or leak at normal bike tire pressures. The head is sturdy and simple to use. The fact that it can work with both common valve types is another big plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy with Function I love the look and feel of the wood handle. I'm 6' and the pump is a little taller than your typical pump making it nice to use. It also has a lot longer hose than most pumps. I would have given a 4.5 Star just because attaching to the valves is a little tricky. I'm figuring it out, but wish the instructions were more detailed. I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY, I thought the same thing when I read in another review. I would buy this pump again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pump works fine; gauge not so much This is my second Lezyne pump. The first with an analog gauge was returned when we discovered the gauge was woefully inaccurate. This, alas, is not much better. The pump works well, and I like the positive screw-on connector, but the gauge is completely unreliable. Verified against multiple other gauges (both digital and analog) known to be good. I'm keeping this one and just using a small digital gauge to get to the pressure I want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Pump This has been a great pump. Easy to use and fast to get to pressure. I have both schrader and presta valves and switching from one to the other doesn't require any adjustment of the pump at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent floor pump Like all floor pumps, the Lezyne Steel Floor Drive Pump isn't the smallest of items, but great to have at your house or in your garage. I've used this on both Presta and Schrader valves already (just flip the red piece for Schrader/Presta connections) and wouldn't necessarily say it's better for one over the other- sealed fine on both. The cap screws onto the valve, so it's really easy to pump tires without an extra person around -- as I've needed with other pumps that only clamp on. If you're worried about losing air while you unscrew the cap, just pump a little extra in.

Questions & Answers

Is this pump rebuildable? Can you buy and replace component parts if they fail?

Asked by: Skoog6
The pumps are completely rebuild-able. If anything does go wrong, Lezyne covers all repair parts for the two year warranty period and then offers all the same parts for sale on our site after the warranty period if over with links to YouTube videos with step by step instruction on how to install it. It really should be the last pump you ever buy.

I bought this pump and can't get it to work with a presta valve stem that is short. (Not even us using the schraeder side with a presta adapter.) Back tire has a tube with long stem, works fine. Front tube has a short stem - doesn't work. Please advise?

Asked by: Teee
This pump works with a Presta valve whether its stem is long or short. If the stem is too short and does not allow the pump head to fully cover it without bottom out on the rim you'll need a tube with a longer valve stem. If you have continued problems please visit your local bike shop for further assistance.

Can this pump be used on smooth (rather than threaded) valve stems?

Asked by: Charlie S
I found the answer to this question on another web site: Yes, it can be used on smooth stems. The chuck threads onto the top of the stem using the threads for the valve cap, not the stem threads.
