Just tried my new pair of Echelon 10s. I'm 74 years old with arthritis, pronation, and flat feet with virtually no arches anymore. These shoes are very comfortable - different from my new Guide 18s and Hurrican 25s but very, very comfortable. They have a great deal of cushion for my tired old feet but not so much arch or pronation correction as the Guide 18s (more) or Hurricane 25s (much more). They feel great walking around the house after spending the day wearing a pair of Saucony shoes with more pronounced foot and ankle corrections. That said, I would recommend all three shoes to anyone whose feet or gait could use some assistance.
First pair of the Echelon 10s after three pairs of the 9s. I walk around 20,000-25,000 steps a day in a warehouse. My first pair of the 9s went 583 miles. Second pair 595. Third pair 617. These shoes hold up better than anything else I’ve tried. When I start getting to the end of their life, my big toe will just begin to tear into the fabric at the top of the shoe. Will the Echelon 10 give me the same results? I’m thinking they will. I get that some shoes aren’t for everyone, but these work for me. I have no pain in my feet and they are happy.
Saucony says that the Echelon 10 is "orthotics friendly" and they are. I recently had bunion and hammertoe surgery and still have moderate post-op swelling. I decided to try the Echelon 10's instead of the other Saucony shoes I had been wearing. The orthotics fit well and the toe box is wide enough for both my 'regular' foot and the one that still has some swelling. The only thing that would make these the perfect shoe is a bit more cushioning. I do a lot of 10+mile hikes on hard surfaces so a little more bounce would be appreciated. Bottom line, if you use custom orthotics or need a little more roof after foot surgery, I highly recommend the Echelon 10.
I’ve been using the Saucony Echelon 10 Wide for a while now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The fit is spot-on for wide feet, with plenty of room in the toe box and no pressure points at all. Cushioning is firm yet comfortable, providing great stability and support throughout long walks and daily use. The shoe feels well-balanced and supportive, especially if you need a neutral shoe that works well with orthotics. Build quality is solid, breathability is good, and comfort stays consistent even after hours on your feet. Highly recommend these for anyone looking for a dependable, comfortable shoe especially if you struggle to find a proper wide fit. Would definitely buy again.
Had to buy these shoes for my son. He is 10 and has Down Syndrome/Asd. He wears orthotics since learning how to walk. We love that his orthotics fit and shoe works great for his gate and stability and overall comfort. This is his second pair in a year. He previously has the echelon 10 in white and blue and shoe was already breaking down 4months old. So we went for blk on blk as the white would not clean up. I hope these last a little longer as theae are super expensive for us 😢..Finding shoes that fit for your special needs kids is a daunting task I wish they were more accessible .
Not certain why people are so mad over these Hoka shoes. I was raised with respect for a great running shoe and New Balance & Soucony are my top choices. They've the experience and durability to remain top dog in the industry. I appreciate the style & colors Soucony uses so it makes sense I would stay loyal to this brand as my childhood was built on their name.
well made and accurate sizing. Nice wide toe box for good comfort
I use these shoes at Orangetheory Fitness. I’m mostly a power walker, though I do run for short intervals. They’re comfortable and provide good stability and cushioning. The heel is just narrow enough to fit in the foot plates on the rower (a problem I’m running into as shoes become more…maximal). If I could return to road running, the Echelons would be a top choice. I wear size 14, and these fit as expected. As far as width goes, they’re on the roomier side, but I’m not swimming in them.
These shoes are so comfortable and roomy! I purchased the extra wide width, and they fit my duck feet very well. I can't believe I have actually found a shoe that keeps me from supinating. They're definitely not a Max cushion shoe, but I feel like there is enough cushion for me. Most importantly, it is keeping me from wobbling. Most max cushion shoes that I've purchased usually wear down on the outside, and then my gait is uneven. I love my Echelons! 😍
Bit of a nonstandard use case here but this shoe is excellent for dancing at raves and music festivals. Lots of support, great side-to-side stability, love how you can put orthotics in with no issues, even high arch ones, wide foot support, breathes well, and is comfortable after 10-12 hours of standing and dancing. I only wish they had it in some colors that were more exciting than grey and black for the wide sizes.
