KEEN  Elle Backstrap Sandals - Women's

After trying the Elle Luxe, Crisscross, and the Backstrap in 10 and 10. 5, I've come to the disappointing realization that Keen is simply not made for people with narrower feet and low insteps. While the shoe was perfect in length at my usual 10, my foot simply didn't have enough volume at the front, and the tight heel bad pushed my toes over the edge in both the 10 and 10. 5 (my foot measures exactly 26cm heel to toe). The front strap was always too loose, while the band on top closer to the ankle was uncomfortable when sitting. I'll continue to purchase their tennis/hiking shoes, but I don't think the sandals can ever work for me.

I love, love these sandals! I have a pair of the birch and a pair of the black styles. I have worn them for two years and appreciate the simplicity and comfort they provide. Dress them up or dress them down. I wear them when I run around the town, to my clinic for work, or go on dates. They are the best pair of sandals I have ever owned! I plan to order more colors. A must-have for your wardrobe. Hopefully, Keen keeps this style around for a long time.

I bought an older version of this sandal about 6 years ago on a whim on sale at a World Market, and I have been OBSESSED ever since. They are so comfortable that I could (and do) wear them for hours and hours on end, they are simple and versatile enough to be dressed up or down, you can easily slip them on without the back strap in case you need to take the trash out or something quick, and they are easy to clean (particularly the outsole is easy to get pretty white again after a good scrub with dish soap). Recently my faithful maroon pair accidentally got thrown away while quickly packing up a flooded campsite and I was so scared that they weren’t made any more. Come to find out they are, and there’s even more fun colors! I seriously cannot recommend these sandals highly enough, if they are anything like my last pair. Just truly the perfect shoe.

I had been eyeing this for a while, especially as I have a coworker who owns them and they look darling on her feet. I finally am in the market for a new pair of sandals for a trip I am taking next month to an urban muggy big US city, where I will be walking 15 miles a day so I pulled the trigger on these. I went to the store to try them on and they were sold out so I ordered them online and unfortunately when I got them, I tried them on an instantly felt they were not right for my feet. the sole/arch support felt off and the back strap sat too high and I felt like it would rub on my heel. Too bad, they are super cute and the blue color felt very "fresh". I also am weary of shoes with white soles as they can get filthy pretty fast. I have other Keens that I love and have worn the soles out, so perhaps this is just a fluke? I ended up trying two different pairs of Tevas, one which I kept that the "midform Kena slim". hopefully it holds up to a lot of walking.

These sandals are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Normally I put on my walking shoes when I am going to be on my feet a lot. I decided to wear these sandals today as I was baking. For once my back does not hurt and I am not quite so tired. Tiredness comes with being 78 I think, but thanks to my Keen sandals I am good!

One of the best pairs of shoes I have ever had. Looks good, great arch support, and fits me like a glove. If you’ve ever dealt with plantar fasciitis, this is a great show to consider.
