Super lightweight breathable running hoody
I have jackets for running in just about any conditions, but somehow the Incendo Airshell Hoody still filled a small gap. There are mornings (especially in late spring) where you need something, but even a standard light windbreaker might be too much. This hoody is perfect for those particular conditions. It is super lightweight, so if you take it off mid-run it's not going to be in the way, whether you tie it around your waist or stash it into a pocket. It also breathes well. I got the Verve colorway. That one along with the stone green and black colorways are opaque enough, but the white colorway is fairly translucent, which might be an aesthetic issue for some depending on what you wear under it.
Perfect
It's the perfect windbreaker for any form of exercise in my opinion. Any other windbreaker I have to take off halfway through as it gets clammy and hot. This one breathes just enough where I can keep it on the whole run or bike ride. Kinda want one in black now...
Very good jacket but not the hood
A beautiful jacket, perfect design and amazing material but the hood is flawed in my opinion. The drawstring at the rear doesn't close up the hood , only reduces the volume a little at the rear. On a windy hike the hood was blowing off my head and I had to pull the jacket down at the pockets to prevent this (the jacket being a snug fit on me elsewhere). The drawstring is kind of useless as when its tightened it pulls the hood back off the head. The hood design of, for example the Proton Light, would be better where the drawstring closes the hood around the face.
Breathable and runs large.
I was previously road running in Squamish, and I wanted a jacket that can actually breath, and got Incendo. I only used it for road running, and it has been fantastic so far. I do believe it is a perfect running jacket for Spring ~ Fall, even the beginning / end of the winter if you don't mind the cold while running. I've read a couple reviews saying it fits large, so I ordered my regular size and one size down, and I was surprised to find out that small fits me perfectly. (175cm/70kg) So I'd advise ordering your regular size and one size down, and decide if you like the loser fit, or tighter fit. For me the tighter fit made sense because this won't be a jacket I layer that much underneath, more so just over a T-shirt on most days.
Great running-focused Squamish alternative
I typically pack my Squamish for any and every mission, but this has been replacing it lately for pure running adventures. I find that the fabric is a bit more comfortable next to skin, and the hand pockets are nice for quick stowage or warming. It still packs very small into its own pocket, and has a storm pull on the hood, so meets all my requirements for a multi-function shell. Compared to the Squamish, this fits a bit shorter and trimmer - great for fast movement. I would give the breathability a 7 compared to a Squamish 6 (out of 10). The only downside of this piece is the fabric appearance. It is incredibly sheer, and you can see the shirt under, especially if the color is contrasting. Not a big deal in the mountains, but limits city or around town use.
Fell apart after one wash
I hate having to voice my opinion like this because I really like the brand . I have many things from Arc'teryx, and for the most part there stuff is great quality. Expect this one the decals fall apart before and even more after first wash in delicate. .sucks because this is my favorite windbreaker , I'm in the process of getting it repaired. I have other brands that I have treated way worse and haven't had no problems with. I just hate how raggedy it looked after one wash ..
Amazing lightweight layer
This is probably the lightest outer layer I own and a great alternative to those times I have reached for a Squamish jacket (although it is perhaps a little less wind resistant) - it has proven itself to be a great companion for trail runs and commutes on the bike - it really takes the edge off in cooler weather, without preventing any overheating. I bought a second one in case I can't get another in the future.
A great trail running jacket
I think this fits an under-appreciated product niche. This has been the perfect jacket for situations where your sweat production is greater than the amount of rain. It’s extremely light (the lightest jacket Arc makes?), and is very comfortable off and on the trail. Love it to bits.
Lightweight
So far so good. I've only worn it a few times but have been pleased with how light weight the jacket is. I wish it would stuff into its own pocket with an inside/out zipper. I can sort of make itr work, but it does not appear to be designed this way.
This one is Amazing
As everything nowadays becomes hit or miss no consistency in quality this Jacket is Hit! Love everything about jacket!
