Not Worth $$
For years, I’ve been a diehard Keen fan preferring the sandals to the sneakers. I’ve watched the quality of Keen drop DRAMATICALLY over the years with sandals coming apart in a year. I’ve had these particular shoes for maybe two months, have done ONE 5 mile hike and some moderate use out and about. They. Are. Falling. Apart. The foam (why are we using delicate foam on a hiking shoe) has already scraped away. The rubber on the tips of the toes is coming off. The fabric is fraying. These are a laughable quality. Do not waste your money. REI would do well to avoid Keen as their products are in absolute decline. The saddest part is that the shoes are comfy as heck.
Holy Grail style & function
I love these shoes. I was confused about which size to order as reviews were somewhat contradictory..My feet have lengthened as I've aged, so I went with a 7.5. my heel is small while the front of my foot is wide and I need height in the toe box. Though they have a sleeker profile than my Keen hiking boots my toes had enough room to spread out and grip, while my heel felt stable and secure. I got the green with orange laces and black trim. They beautiful and fun. They are cushiony and have great arch support. A super successful purchase.
One little thing…
I got these shoes for light trail hiking. They have a sturdy sole and are very comfortable for hiking. The problem with this shoe is the too small and impractical tongue. It is a single piece of leather. No reinforcement and no cushioning. It is very short and somewhat narrow, barely covering the laces. Also makes it harder to get them on because it’s hard to grab. Never had this issue with a shoe before!
falling apart :(
i loved these at first (and still do) but unfortunately the rubber on the toe is starting to come apart. i had them for about 2 months. i wore them hiking and walking, theyre super comfortable but the quality is subpar. :( im going to just glue it together but for that price i wish i didnt have to
LOVE THEM!
Love these shoes. They are so comfy and I can wear them all day - hike for miles in them on trails or asphalt without any issues. Thanks Keen!!
Great city
No idea what other reviewers who claim to have worn these shoes only a few times and they’re falling apart are talking about. I looked at those photos and the shoes look beat to heck like worn 100 miles. Would take those reviews with a major pinch of salt. I bought these for a trip to Washington where I only wanted to bring one pair of shoe. Did not think a stylish shoe existed that also can withstand the wet and muddy terrain WA hikes, yet here is the Jasper Zionic. Wore mine for extensive walks in Seattle and then for two hikes in the Olympic peninsula. One hike was 6 miles and the other hike was 8. The second longer hike was also done entirely in the rain (I did buy shoe waterproofer and waterproof then beforehand). Other than a bit of mud, they are still in absolutely perfect condition. LOVE that I can wear these to dinner in a city and the next day on a hike. Highly recommend!
Great for a walking vacation.
I bought this shoe for a European vacation. I walked about 8 to 10 miles per day. They were comfortable right out of the box, no blisters, or sore spots. I have wider feet, and the shoes can be tightened or loosened for a good fit. I waterproofed them, and they did not leak in light rain. I also like the more feminine colors
woulda bought them if the colors weren’t awful
i really struggle to find shoes that fit me well and these are super comfortable. unfortunately i will not buy them because the women’s color options are hideous and they aren’t available in my size in men’s. just make shoes unisex PLEASE i’m so tired of baby blue/purple/pink or just plain boring being the only options for women and people with smaller feet. incredibly disappointing.
cute, but not for long
love the design of these shoes but have been disappointed in how they have held up. they seem more fashion over function. the interior of the heal has completely worn through to the inside after just a few months of wear, and some of the tread has ripped off.
