Fell out of my pack when scrambling and it fell less than 3ft and hit a rock and cracked, had the bottle less than 2 months and only used 3 times on trails. The company does not stand by their claim of it being made of durable materials meant to last a long time because when I contacted them they responded with “well if you drop any bottle at the right way it will break “. Stick with the smart water bottle over this!
I purchased two on the CNOC website. Ok, water bottles at first. I wouldn't recommend them for long through-hikes. The caps break fairly easily because you can overtighten them. I sent an email, and they responded that the lids are made of a weaker plastic and that they are looking into fixing it. I ordered 4, and they gave me a code to cover the first two. I had to pay for shipping. After further use, I found that while hiking and camping over multiple days, it was very difficult to get them cleaned out properly, and they seemed to have grown a mold inside the plastic at the bottom. I stopped using them. I tried to clean them out with a long bottle brush, but it seemed like the mold that was in there had been in between layers. I scrubbed them really well and soaked them, and couldn't remove the " black substance". I had to toss them, and I was into the two bottles and caps for $34-$35. It took about 45 days for the breakdown, and I'll never buy another bottle that isn't a Nalgene.
Perfect bottle for all of my adventures. I have 5 of these at this point. I replaced my smart water bottles with these ones and they’ve been working well and I feel better about reusing them they’re a lot more sturdy.
Works great with 28mm water filters. Love it for backpacking and bikepacking
