Great hikers! Extremely comfortable and lightweight. Wore them for two weeks straight while hiking in Scotland. Not one blister or hot spot. Would highly recommend.

Seem Comfy but Poor Build Quality on Speed Hooks
No, I do not recommend this product
One speed hook snapped off of each boot the first time I tried them on. The other ones seem loose. Returning them immediately. Make sure you give the speed hooks a good test if you try these. Great price but not worth it if you can’t fully lace them up. Otherwise they fit great and seemed comfortable, but sadly I never even fully laced either boot up before I put them back in the box. Had it just been one boot I might try another pair, but I do not trust this build quality.

The Speed Strike 2 Mid Leather Waterproof hiker is a great looking boot that is built well for moderate and light hiking use. However, I did return my pair and bought a different Merrill boot model that is more likely stand up to vigorous mountain terrane hiking, which is what I intend to use it for.
