Very uncomfortable. I was very excited to try my 1st pair of Brooks but these are very tight across the top and in the heels even though I laced them loosely my feel are going numb. I am unsure if ordering a half-size bigger than my normal size would make a difference. These are going back!
I ordered the white. It has a very shallow toebox that presses down on the big toes and leaves me with only 1 cm at the end rather than 1". I wear 7.5 street shoe, 8 in many running shoes and all of my older Brooks. Other than the toe area it's a Goldilocks shoe for me like the old Brooks, not too tall and squishy and also not too flat a sole. Supportive, energetic feel. May try an 8.5 but I worry it will feel loose and still press the tops of the toes.
Funnily enough, my husband ended up keeping these from me lol! I really liked them, but the arch was just a bit too firm for me, but the heel and footbed were a perfect amount of cushioned yet sturdy. They ended up being perfect for my husband, so instead of returning them, he’ll use them and maybe I’ll borrow them every once in a while once he’s broken them in!
