Osprey  Remnants Essential Tote

I love this tote! It is deeper than I expected it to be, it fits so much, and it is still comfortable to carry. The front pocket is also larger than I expected so I can fit my wallet, sunglasses, keys, and any other small items that I don't want to fall out of the tote. I used it on a 3-week vacation where I was driving, camping, flying, and staying at hotels. I had the tote in my car in case I needed it, and I ended up using it all the time. I used it for groceries, at the pool and the beach, as my additional carry-on, and just to keep things organized in my car. I highly recommend this as a simple everyday tote!

Added this bag to my bag wardrobe, not expecting it to accompany me everywhere I go...but...first it was the project bag, carrying samples and drawings for a construction project, then it went on a multi day MOAB bike trip where it was the only bag that could handle the removal of the fine powder that lines the desert floor. Next thing I know its toting groceries and sports gear. Just the right size, toughness, fashionably appropriate (when not in the great outdoors) and the perfect pocket on exterior for easy access...no more digging for the phone/keys/chap stick. My other bags are lonesome ;)

This tote works, but there are a number of features described on the website it does not have: -""Duffel stuffs inside of its own internal pocket"""" it's not a duffel, and while it does have a pocket, I doubt it would stuff into itself easily; -""Large U-zip opening"": The tote's main compartment has no zip; -""Dual grab handles with padding for easy lifting"": disappointingly, the tote's handles are are unpadded and less than an inch wide. When fully loaded, it's uncomfortable to carry. For a bag of this volume the handles should be more substantial.

I was given this as a gift and I have used it almost everyday since. I am a teacher, and constantly bringing multiple bags to collect all my items needed for the day. This tote carries it all for me! I have used it to bring items for potlucks, my classroom, my office, etc. In addition, it cleans so easily! Candy (from a potluck) melted in the bottom of the bag and in less than a minute I had it cleaned up with a wet paper towel, and the tote was good as new. I am finding more and more things I love about this every time I use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great size tote for all activities! Beach bag, grocery bag or just an extra bag around town. The tapered design makes it somewhat tricky to pack with items of a fixed size/shape, but for overall general use it’s no problem. This bag has replaced the milk crates in the trunk of the car for storing everyday items, and is much more portable when we need it on-the-go!

The tag on the bag is different then the one pictured. Not a huge deal, however I believe what you are sold should match pictures or there should be a statement which there is not. The tag is not the typical Osprey tag, is stated REMNANTS with a tiny Osprey. I have contemplated returning due to this as I feel this is misrepresented in the pictures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tote bag is large and lightweight. Great for trips to the store or even to the beach or park. Has a pocket on the front for small items . It would be great to travel with because it can be folded up very small taking up very little space. I would recommend this as no frills bag you can use for almost anything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy and durable as expected with Osprey products. I use it for packing groceries home from the store. Great for the heavy stuff. Holds up to the job very well. Expect it to last a long time just like an Osprey pack. This is probably the highest and best quality of reusable shopping bags that I own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the size of this tote suggests the ability to carry a large load, the handles could be a bit wider to enable comfortable carrying. I use this to carry groceries up to a 3rd floor walk-up and it's terrific.
