Not what they used to be

First off, my new Podium bottle tastes like plastic. I've tried backing soda, vinegar, hot water, etc. and cannot get rid of it. My old ones never had this issue. The newer style valve does not give as good a squirt as the older style. The lid design lacks good grip and is prone to leak unless you take extra care to excessively tighten. Sorry guys, but I have lots of the old ones and the redesign just doesn't seem to work as well. Also, the bad taste is inexcusable. I wondered if I had a knock off (says made in China) since nowhere on the bottle does it say BPA free, Truetaste, etc. like the old ones did. So I purchased another from a different source and same problems. Super bummed as I used to really like these...

Please Go Back to Previous Top

The bottle is fine, the top... just... who designed this? Did you actually *use* it after you designed it? The bottle holds liquid as long as you rotate the nozzle to closed. If you leave the nozzle in the open position, it leaks. It does it on my mountain bike and my road bike on smooth pavement. The solution is to leave the nozzle in the closed position but then the nozzle is so hard to operate, you have to stop the bike, open the nozzle, take a drink, close the nozzle, put the bottle back in the holder and take off again. I get that level of functionality out of a bottle at half the price so I'll be going to cheap bottles. The design on this new nozzle is nothing short of atrocious. I guess form over function is the name of the game.

Not like the old ones

The new top on these bottles are great but the new shape of the bottle is awful. They do not fit snug in you bottle cage on your bike anymore as the new taper on the body of the bottle makes them rattle around when you ride. On bumpy or gravel roads they tend to come out making you circle around to search for your lost bottle. The last version of this bottle was a winner but this new version has me looking for a different company. Definitely not a thought out and tested product.

Great product

I recently purchased two 24-ounce Camelbak Podium water bottles. I’ve been extremely pleased with my purchase for a number of reasons: * easy to use - just squeeze the bottle for a drink * can remove rubber drinking mechanism for cleaning * fit perfectly into my bottle cage * variety of colors to match to your bike color * dishwasher safe * aesthetically-pleasing design * durability * nice size for longer shorter rides * easy twist lock to avoid spills when not using

Podium Bike bottle

Have used these bottles exclusively for years now on my bike and hiking. What I like- the cap does not leak even when in drinking position, the plastic body of the bottle is just right to squeeze. Has just the right amount of give. The bottle is also designed to fit nicely in a water bottle cage.

Podium bottle, color: Purple

Bottle water dispense system is perfect, locking and unlocking flow, perfect as well. The only complaint I have is in reference to the color. It looks metallic on the image, but in reality is pretty dull, I was not everything is perfect on the internet! Will recommend 100%

New lids leak

the new lid design is nice for ease of cleaning but it leaks! I used to be able to carry my water bottle around in my bag and it would be fine but now I Have to be super careful with it. Also if you squeeze it too hard while drinking some water will leak out the sides too.

Quality is down

I replaced my old bottle with this one. Does not keep liquid as cold and also bought two more (to avoid shipping charges on such inexpensive items), not realizing that they are not useful fir cold beverages at all. Poor descriptions in advertising (as well).

Miserable to clean

The cap is a serious pain to disassemble and reassemble. The tabs are hard plastic and do not flex. It's miserable and hard to take apart and put back together. The bottle squeezes well, but it's not worth the effort it takes to clean.
