My new favorite sun shirt, but kind of fragile
I just walked a two-week Camino in this sun shirt. I loved how light it was, how the collar gives some neck protection without feeling hot, and how far it unzips, when needing to cool off. I would have appreciated the sleeves being an inch longer (I’m 5’5 and bought a medium, for reference), but I wear sun gloves, so it was ok. This could easily be my new favorite sun shirt, but… Everywhere the shirt touched my pack was badly pilled by the third day of walking (it was brand new at the start). After two weeks, the shirt looks ready for the bin. I’ve worn this pack with REI Sahara shirts for years and never had a problem. If Mountain Hardware could make this shirt more durable without sacrificing the airy feel, I’d definitely buy more!
Best sun protection!
Perfect sun shirt! Wore this in mid-70°F to 90°F+ temps recently and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Cute boxy fit, very lightweight and breathable. Felt like it kept me cooler than if I’d been just in a tank top, and more importantly, it protected me from the hot Texas sun. Will likely grab another in a diff color. I bought a size S.
One of the best sun shirts
MH has the best sun shirts. This shirt is very lightweight and loose-fitting, making it perfect for workouts on warm sunny days. I own this shirt in three colors. The only downfall is pilling.
The coolest cover
This shirt is unbelievably cool. Got a second one. Much cooler than a clingy regular sun shirt or hoody. You might want to wear a light tank top under if you plan to unzip it the whole way.

Light weight good protection from sun. Thicker material adds weather proof.
