I bought this as an alternative to my other 2 sun hoodies, as I was just too darn hot in those in very exposed conditions. I haven’t had a chance to test it in those harsh conditions, but my first impression is that the fabric is very lightweight and breathable. I like that it’s cropped to allow airflow from below, but I’m not sure yet if the shortness will leave my midriff too exposed to sunburn. Also, I haven’t tested out whether the shirt will ride up my back when I have a backpack on. I’m 5-3, 123 lb and purchased a small, which feels right to me. I considered swapping for a medium, but on me I think it will be too much fabric. Also, when I have the hood on, it seems to hike the back up even shorter. But the style is unique, incorporating both the quarter zip and shorter length along with light fabric, so I’ve decided to keep it and give it a chance.
I've had one of these for over a year and wear it every chance I get, and have just ordered the crop crater lake without the hood, for bike rides. It is the softest and doesn't feel to plastic like some other sunshirts. Love cropped shirts. Am 5'7", 135lbs and have a medium. It is the best.
Been using this for the past year and it's been perfect for long backpacking days in the PNW summer. Lightweight, breathable, quick drying, no excessive fabric to conflict with a pack waist belt. Crop+zip+hood is a winner and it has held up very well. Please keep making these!
This sun hoodie is cute and pairs well with high waisted bike shorts, my preferred hiking clothes! I got a medium which fits my athletic but slim build well (5'10", 155 lbs, muscular arms/back. Thumbs holes don't quite make it to my thumbs but sleeves are decently long.
love it! keeps me cool and the boxy cut is the only thing that actually looks good on me. Please make more of the CL crops and crop zips in more colors, like more earth tones!
Don’t care for the zipper, unflattering on your chest and pretty short! I love cropped stuff but even at 5’4” this one is a little short. I prefer the non zipper version.
The best sun hoody hands down. The arms are too long and it’s kinda awkward but otherwise perfect. Please never discontinue this!!!!!
The shirt fit well and was perfect for me. I used it for my trip and it was great for hiking and preventing sunburns.
