This is a very comfortable hybrid, that is a big plus, so if you enjoy trails with little obstacles I believe it will hold up well and your feet will be happy… BUT, if you like more challenging terrain, moderate to difficult hikes, it’s not gonna last. I’ve had these for not even two months and there is considerable wear and tear on the bottoms and sides. These are not rugged and resilient. For the price I kinda expected more . But it’s ok overall
I really like the shoe it is well made but man is it uncomfortable. I have switched the insoles an yet to find anything to make the shoes comfortable. Maybe I need to wear them a bit more and hope they break in. I really was hoping this shoe would be something I could wear daily. It maybe a bit too narrow. Wish it was a bit wider that would maybe help with making them comfortable.
I like these hiking shoes. These are lighter than Moab 3's. I'm a daily walker and these shoes are allowing me to add more distance to my walks. I have a pair of golf shoes that have a similar sole design, that's why I tried these shoes. I will reserve my critique on durability after I put some miles on them. All and all I would recommend these shoes.
I couldn’t do it whitout speedarc’s Best cushion sole
I was looking for a set of very non-slip hiking boots mainly to take to Europe where there is slippery limestone or marble cobblestones. These certainly meet to that requirement and they're great for just general hiking as well, but they appear to wear very quickly. As you can see from the photo. This picture was taken after 2 hikes of about 5 or 6 mi each and a couple short or two and a half mile hikes.
I found the Mid Gore-Tex hiking boots to be comfortable yet provided ample support for my arch and ankles. The toe box was roomier than I expected and overall, the boot felt like a natural extension of my foot (When compared to a pair of Keen's that i recently transitioned from). The cushioned sole is approximately 1-2 inches in height and suppresses any impact from jumping or stepping on hard surfaces for a prolonged period. The Vibram soles gave ample traction on varying surfaces in wet conditions. The exterior of the boot has held up well to scuff marks and continues to provide a strong underpinning for my flat feet. The Gore-Tex outer is great at protecting my feet from the elements however I found the shoe to be hot and not breath as well as other boots in its class. Overall, I am pleased with these boots and would purchase them again.
This is my second week wearing them. I actually bought them for my job, In security.. they are extremely comfortable right out the box.. the more I wear them the comfortable they get., very lightweight. Awesome support. I’ve purchase several pair of Merrell Shoes/ hiking boots.. I have been totally pleased with them all.
Bought this for work (corrections), boot is very narrow which creates a very tight fit. Lightweight, good grip on the dirt, just wish it wasn't very narrow. I threw away the box and wear them for a few days, so I can't returned them.
I love the look of this boot but these maybe the most uncomfortable I’ve ever worn. It’s as if you’re walking on the air bubbles on the bottom of the shoe. Not exactly a boot you will be able to wear for extended shifts as a LEO.
