These are great for traveling!
I've previously written a very positive review of EarPlanes, as they've helped enormously with the ear pain I experience when flying. However, after trying the Alpine FlyFit earplugs, I found them even more effective. For context, I often suffer from quite severe ear pain during flights, particularly during descent. In the past, I've experienced intense discomfort and temporary hearing loss that could last for several days afterwards. EarPlanes made a significant difference and reduced most of these issues, but I always found them quite uncomfortable on longer flights and disliked that they were designed for limited use. The Alpine FlyFit earplugs have been a real improvement for me. They're much softer, more comfortable to wear for extended periods, and easy to remove and reinsert when needed. Most importantly, they provided even better pressure regulation during flights. On my recent trips, they completely eliminated the ear pain I would normally experience and reduced any post-flight hearing issues to around half an hour. While you can still tell you're wearing earplugs, they never became uncomfortable. Another advantage is that they're reusable, which makes them much better value in the long run and reduces waste. Everyone's ears are different, so your experience may vary, but if you regularly suffer from ear pain when flying, I'd strongly recommend giving these a try. They've made a noticeable difference to my travel experience and will now be a permanent part of my hand luggage. Now available in my local REI store, love it!
