Perfect for the Trail and Beyond

The LIGHTRANGE™ Sunriser Hoodie quickly became my go-to for runs, hikes, and everyday wear. It's lightweight, breathable, and provides excellent sun protection without making you overheat. The fit is athletic but not tight, and the thumbholes are a great touch for keeping sleeves in place on cooler mornings. Whether you're on a mountain trail or just out walking the dog, this hoodie keeps you comfortable and protected. Plus, it packs down super small - perfect for tossing in your backpack just in case. Highly recommended for anyone who spends time outdoors and wants performance without the bulk. The North Face nailed it with this one!

Just perfect

Lightweight Protection That Performs! The LIGHTRANGE™ Sunriser Hoodie is exactly what I needed for long runs, hikes, and sunny days on the trail. It's incredibly lightweight and breathable, but what really sets it apart is the UPF protection-you get serious sun coverage without overheating. The fabric feels great against the skin, dries fast, and the fit allows for easy movement without being baggy. I also love the hood design-perfect for extra coverage without flopping around while moving. If you're outdoors a lot and want something that balances sun protection, comfort, and performance, this hoodie is a game-changer. North Face nailed the tech and the fit.

great for active wear

I bought this a few months ago for running and active use in hot and dry conditions. I have used it numerous times including in a trail race and found it to be great. It breathes well, protects from the sun and the hood and fit are good for active use. True to size (I typically wear medium and got medium) but if want it to wear looser I would consider sizing up. Has thumb loops that extend cuff some over the hand, but if hand coverage is desired probably better to pair with gloves or consider another hoody with longer sleeves and thumb holes.

Amazing

I had a similar product form Prana that was a sun shirt with near similar material and purpose. This will forever be my go-to now. The material is perfect, not overly soft but not scratchy or uncomfortable. The little fabric for the thumbs to keep the sleeves in place is perfect and the hood doesn't feel heavy when it is laying back. These shirts are my favorite for hiking and running.

Perfect for outside work and inside comfort

This hoodie is lightweight and versatile. Outside, I use in the day it to keep the sun off when mowing the lawn (helped by the UPF protection), or in the evening to keep mosquitos off during stargazing (use the hood!). Indoors, I use it when the summer air conditioning is just a bit to chilly, and it stashes in a backpack or briefcase with very little wrinkling.

Great full sun protection top.

So happy with this top that I bought another. Very soft, fairly light fabric in a nice slim fit. If I were looking for changes, I'd love to see the fabric get a tiny bit lighter in weight and the fit to be just a bit less slim (I'm quite slim and wear a medium in this and everything, but this top fits almost like a racing suit vs. a warm weather top).

A nice base layer

I bought this top for both of my sons and they really like it. I bought it for an upcoming trip we're going on, but they have already worn it. The quality and fabric is so nice. It's light and airy so not really for hard winter weather.

Hard Pass

Fabric snags easily, received it, packed it a bag to travel, took it out at my destination and the fabric was pulled, tags still on. Can’t imagine what would happen if worn in the woods or backpacking.

New to sun hoodies, but this is AMAZING

I used this for three back to back hikes last weekend all around 90 degrees outside, hiked for 16.5 miles with 5000 feet elevation gain. Kept me cool throughout all of it. Not a single migraine!!!

Best hiking top I've purchased!

I just wore this out on a hike and loved how lightweight and breathable it is! The high end material and perfect fit made it super comfortable on the trail. I finally found the perfect sun hoodie!
