This is from a guy who is old and walks A LOT. The shoes feel good early and are substantial enough to hold their shape. My best friends say they look pretty good and I agree. I liked the help from REI with shipping ... a small effort on their part got me the shoes on time for me! In a year I'll tell you if they lasted. Seems like a good shoe that will last awhile and that I might wear anywhere,
