Is this Marmot Rock Short designed for an Outlet?
This Rock Short version is a bit inferior to previous years versions of the favorite pair of shorts from Marmot. The re-introduction of the belt loops is a nice return, but the construction of this version is not as robust. There were double seems used throughout the old version, and the relocation of the zippered pocket is a little more cumbersome. The biggest difference is the lack of a gusset sewn into the crouch. This offered better freedom of movement from the old version.
Arch Rock Shorts/Pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, thanks for going back to the original design. The belt was unneeded. I also like the zipper pocket being moved behind the pocket. However, these products used to have a velvet material in the waste band, that really held them up and made them comfortable. Would love to see that back.

Perfect Fit - Durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most comfortable and durable shorts in my closet! Since I live in the "Sportsman's Paradise" I bought a dozen, and I wear them as a staple. They also launder extremely well.

Finally getting back to a proper length
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Way better than a few years ago where they extended the length to 11" (which was just silly, those are casual at home shorts, would never take on real adventures)

Glad they went back to belt loops
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy they went back to belt loops. I have several pairs of arch rock pants and shorts and the era of the built in belts was my least favorite.

Nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice shorts. The material is nice and comfortable.
