Very comfortable, stylish, and secure boot. Thank you TIMBS
Purchased prior to completing the Everest Base Camp Trek in October of 2025. The boots were very comfortable out of the box and easy to break in prior to departure. The new boots performed admirably on dry packed dirt and wet muddy surfaces. The soles provided reliable support on endless rock steps and glacial crossings. They were water resistant in damp conditions but are not waterproof when the conditions get really wet and messy. When soaking wet they did dry out relatively quickly and were always ready to wear the next day.
Well made. Waterproof. Took them a bit to break in and still have slight rubbing on the back of my heel so not so much a hiker for me. More of a work boot. I wear a 9 but bought an 8.5 which fit better. Traction is good. Seems to breathe OK. Wearing them for over 6 months now and nothing coming apart.
I needed a comfortable work boot. I bought men’s shoes because they are generally wider than women’s, but these are no wider than women’s. The shoelaces are too slippery and don’t stay tied, even when double tied, so I will have to change them to different laces. Otherwise they are very comfortable.
I was surprised at how light these boots were. I did not need to break them in either. During my hikes I was impressed by the grip, ankle protection, waterproofing, and overall durability of these shoes. Highly recommend
Love these boots, I bought this for hikking, but has become a everyday boot. It is warm and comfortable. I wore one day for 16 hrs and it supported me well.
Boot fit well and offer decent support. Tend to feel every rock on long hikes.
I rotate my old hiking boots from active duty to my parks & rec trail maintenance duty. These are usually 2-4 hour projects where you may walk a mile or two total over the course of the actual work (as you drive into the work site). The current pair was getting down to 2mm of log depth and a little skittish in muddy terrain. A new set of $200 backpacking boots would be overkill, so I set my sights lower on something burly, but still trail capable and water-resistant. The first thing you notice on opening the box is the incredible stench of the outsoles - almost certainly made from recycled tires. Hopefully it will dissipate after a couple days on the patio. However, I can't lie - this is a good-looking boot & was immediately noticed by a couple of friends. The lacing system and rear heel loop are decent. It's also a rather high volume boot, but that gives me space to add the orthotics needed for trail work (their included pair isn't horrible). It's rather stiff, but that also works for the heavy duty uses I have in mind. The only MAJOR negative for the boot is the low profile tread. It's difficult to tell from the photos, but it's maybe 4mm of relief in the lugs. The compound feels pretty hard so I'm hoping it will last more than a season, but all of my hiking boots have had 6-8mm of tread relief. So in summary, it seems like a decent light duty work boot or a car-camping boot, but definitely not for hiking.
